Power Flow Virtual Class (Live Stream)
60-75 minutes of pure bliss heated vinyasa yoga, some variation depending on the instructor. Prepare to move, sweat and be challenged with a vigorous and creative practice intended for intermediate students. Classes may include pranayama (breathwork) standing postures, hip openers, arm balances, and inversions. Previous yoga experience recommended for this class. This class is heated to a cozy 85-90 degrees.

Program Details
This foundational training is ideal for those wanting to teach yoga or the serious yoga student looking to go deeper by full immersion in the study of yogic practice and lifestyle. You will learn to teach and fully embody Vinyasa Yoga. Our training and asana practice draws heavily upon the principles and tradition of Ashtanga (the original power yoga) and the Eight Limbs of Yoga. In addition to asana practice (observation, proper alignment, adjustments, sequencing), students will learn pranayama, meditation techniques, attend relevant workshops with visiting teachers, participate in community outreach, and complete assigned readings, writings, and assignments. Specialty areas included will be an introduction to Sanskrit, Ayurveda, Yin, and Yoga Therapy as well as the business of teaching yoga, marketing, teaching privates and career options.
Interactive, Small Group Setting
Space is limited to allow for a positive, encouraging atmosphere with individualized attention and mentorship. We will all work and learn together. This is a journey of growth and discovery that will deepen your practice and understanding of yoga and help you to become a highly skilled and intuitive teacher.
Hands On Teaching, Sequencing and Asana
Learn creative, intelligent and adaptable flows. Classic Hatha Yoga postures will be taught in precise detail including variations and modifications for all levels. Learn to teach different body types and populations with confidence and compassion.
Flexible Study. Part time weekday evenings and weekends.
Weekday Evening session on Thursday (or optional Friday for make up). Students are allotted up to 4 days off during training (additional time off must be made up and scheduled directly with primary E-RYT teacher).

This certification course is open to Yoga Teachers and others interested in the study and practice of Yin yoga. Topics covered include the Philosophy and Physiology of Yin Yoga, Yin Yoga Asana Practice, Practical Application, and Teaching Special Populations. We will learn the differences between Yin and Yang styles, and understand the benefits physically, energetically and emotionally. We will observe and practice teaching in small groups. If you're brand new to yoga we encourage you to try our "INTRO TO YOGA" series offered weekly. You will get an introduction to the basic yoga poses in a small and non intimidating environment. Class size is limited.

Frequently Asked Questions
I've never done yoga before, what should I wear? Do I need a mat? Can I rent or purchase one at the studio?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in. We have yoga mats and towels that can be rented from the studio. Sign up for our monthly/annual auto pay and your mat and towel rentals are included with your membership and you'll never have to worry about bringing your mat again!.
Do I need to check in before class or can I just show up?
Yes, we encourage you to sign up online before you arrive at the studio. Although walk-ins are welcome they don't guarantee the class won't fill up beforehand.
How do I choose which type of Yoga to try?
We recommend you try as many classes as you can to help determine what's the best fit. While most classes are suitable for all levels, the Intro to Yoga, Ashtanga Basics and Gentle Hatha Flow are perfect for beginners. There are also a number of classes that are specifically marked as 'beginner or Level 1'.
Do I need to know how to do all the poses?
Of course not, part of the practice of yoga is for one to continue deepening their level of yoga as they continue to grow as a practitioner. The teacher will offer different variations of the poses or you can always return to child pose. Remember there is no such thing as not being "good" at yoga.
What membership should I get?
We have a variety of memberships to suit your lifestyle. If you are new to Yoga Loft Chicago, start with the 2 weeks for $35; this will give you unlimited yoga for 2 weeks! If you plan on coming to yoga more than once a week, the best value is the 12 month unlimited membership, which only is $28 per week.

Ashtanga Basics
A Vinyasa style practice great for beginners and advanced yogis, it is a disciplined, guided practice exploring the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa system as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, with room for variation. Includes the Basic Postures from the primary series. Ashtanga is a powerful sequence that builds heat and strength. This is a vigorous style of yoga that weaves breath and movement through a sequential order of asanas that is meticulously followed. Each posture is a preparation for the next, developing the strength and balance required to move further.
Ashtanga Flow
Prepare to move, sweat and be challenged with a vigorous and meditative practice. Build strength and focus; unite body, mind, and breath with this Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa Yoga class that draws from the primary series with some room for variation. Includes back bends and inversions. Appropriate for all levels but moves at a quicker pace than a beginners or basics class.
Beginners
An Intro to Yoga Series ideal for beginners and those wanting to reconnect with the basics of their practice. Fit Loft - Tone & Tighten
This class moves at a medium but consistent pace. We will strengthen and tone your entire body by targeting each muscle group through one minute circuits at a medium pace. Open to all levels.

Get in shape fast! A fun, sweaty circuit-based challenge awaits you each session. You will be led by Tim, our certified personal trainer through a series of movements including jumps, squats, holds, kicks, combinations, and surprises for an exhilarating, whole body workout including ABS and CORE. Intro/beginners Yoga Series

Pre-Post Natal Yoga Pre-Register
Yoga is a wonderful way to bond with your baby and helps you to deal with all the changes happening to your body. This class will help you build the strength necessary during pre and post natal months as well as during labor. Emphasis on breathing, relaxation, and muscle toning. Have the best possible pregnancy and delivery by learning to stretch and strengthen the body, focus and relax the mind, control breathing and develop awareness. All levels may join at any point in pregnancy and/or post partum.

60-75 minutes of pure bliss heated power vinyasa yoga class providing opportunity for variation depending on instructor. Vinyasa Jivamukti
Come experience the blissful flow and amazing energy of our Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga. A Jivamukti Open vinyasa class presents classical yoga teachings as relevant to one's life on and off the mat supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation and meditation in a sequence creatively designed by the teacher. Asana options will be provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. Exuberant, eclectic music plays an integral role: you might practice to a shifting soundtrack of ragas, global trance, hip-hop, kirtan, spoken word etc. The class concludes with a period of deep relaxation and meditation. An open level Vinyasa yoga class incorporating breath, movement and proper alignment. Warrior Flow
Warrior Flow. A brisk, guided physical practice, meditation and relaxation, all in 50 minutes! The class offers a well-rounded, challenging, stimulating and healthful practice suitable for those who want to include a robust asana practice in a manageable daily routine. Because it is a fixed sequence, you have an opportunity to progress to a level of mastery by committing to a consistent, steady, regular sadhana. This is a strict vinyasa class, meaning one breath, one movement from start to finish. All levels but some Yoga experience recommended.
Yoga Sculpt
