Who We Are
The European Academy of Cosmetology & Hairdressing, LLC., The Teach Hairdressing Academy, brings world-class education and training to the Connecticut shoreline. Located in a state-of-the-art facility, and staffed by masters in their field, TEACH offers a comprehensive, progressive education in the basics of hairdressing and cosmetology, with additional training in salon management.
Why We're Here
Teach Hairdressing Academy students will benefit from the substantial experience and expertise of academy founders Christopher J. Rollins, owner of the popular and successful Christopher's Salon & Day Spa in Guilford, and Michael Criscuolo, Christopher's Salon Director. They created the Academy to provide students with an alternative to the existing, limited educational opportunities in Connecticut. More important, they hope to pass along the keys to their own success – knowledge, a mastery of the basics and a desire to stay ahead of the competition with new skills and training in the latest styles, products and services.
What You'll Learn
The course of study includes 1,500 of classroom education and hands-on-training. Classes, taken either full or part-time, prepare students to apply for a Connecticut license in Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Barbering. The first 200, classroom-based hours, focus on the theoretical aspects of all content areas. The remaining hours are devoted to practical experience - first with mannequins and then clients. While learning, students have access to the highest quality equipment, products, learning tools and education. In addition to Rollins and Criscuolo, other academy instructors provide a wealth of experience and training – with much of it coming from L'OREAL, Goldwell and TIGI, top companies known worldwide for their products, advanced expertise and educational programs. While learning the basics and latest trends from these master instructors, students also receive a comprehensive education into the real world of the salon. TEACH also will provide students with tips and support for their job search.

Teach Hairdressing Academy offers educational opportunity to anyone interested in a career in hairdressing and cosmetology. New classes begin the first of each month. Christopher Rollins
Christopher Rollins has applied his talent for beautiful hairstyles and color since the mid 1960s, when he started his career in London. While working at several leading salons there, he trained with the major hair care companies and established a lifelong affiliation with L'Oreal - a relationship he brought to the United States when he opened his first Connecticut salon in 1982. He remains a trendsetter in hair and skin care, just one reason for the success of his popular, Guilford-based salon and day spa. Christopher's goal always has been to provide the very best products and services to his customers, and the best education and training to his staff. His salon offers the latest styles and colors from both Europe and the Unites States. Christopher has received awards for fashion and his philanthropic work in the community. Both a leader and teacher, he will carry his standards of excellence forward to his latest endeavor - The European Academy of Cosmetology and Hairdressing. The academy will allow him to apply his business experience, talent and strong industry affiliations to educating and training the next generation of talented, dedicated hairdressers and cosmetologists.
Michael Criscuolo, Jr.
Michael Criscuolo, Jr. is a third generation hair stylist with over 20 years in the beauty industry. He has studied in England, New York and Connecticut and continues to be on the cutting edge to offer the latest techniques in color and style to his clients. Michael is the Salon Director at Christopher's Salon and Day Spa in Guilford, Connecticut and most recently has become the co-owner of The European Academy of Cosmetology and Hairdressing.

About Us
The European Academy of Cosmetology and Hairdressing is located in Guilford, CT. Our highly trained instructors utilize Goldwell color, TIGI products, and Toni & Guy cutting methodology. We are nationally accredited and offer Federal Financial Aid to those who qualify. Our mission is to educated and enable dedicated passionate individuals to become the best hairstylists they can be in cosmetology arts and sciences and or related fields. To enhance and enrich the industry that we love.
