It felt like such a natural fit. She quickly noticed a change in her mental state, being able to calm down, relax, and let things go. Delynda is not only registered as a 500 hour teacher through Yoga Alliance she also has level I & 2 certificates for Adaptive Yoga and Matthew Sanford. Delynda is thrilled to be able to honor her beloved teachers by bringing their beautiful and passionate teachings into her own classes.
Lacy Wharton
Chrissy Speckhart
Chrissy started practicing yoga in 2005. Amazed at how great her body felt after each time she practiced, she decided she wanted to deepen her practice to be able to share with others. In 2007 Chrissy went to Mexico and attended Yandara Yoga Institute for her 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification. There she gained the knowledge needed to feel confident to guide others into a safe and rewarding practice. In 2010 Chrissy was able to participate in Studio Bamboo Institute Of Yoga's 500 Hour Teacher Training. During that time Chrissy was in the service industry and leaving for a long period of time was not ideal for her. She is grateful for being able to have this opportunity in her hometown. The ability to learn more about the practice and integrating it into her everyday life was challenging yet rewarding. Chrissy is currently working on her Breakti Certification with Anya Porter. In July, Chrissy completed her Health Coach Certification from The Institute For Integrative Nutrition. With the knowledge Chrissy has gained she hopes to empower other's to take control of their health and help them realize they deserve to live the healthiest life possible through movement and optimal nutrition.

What Should I Expect?
Yoga, by its nature, is very challenging yet it is not a contest or race.
In fact, there is no room for ego in classes. Doing yoga correctly means paying attention to your breath and your body. It doesn't matter what anyone else is doing, only you. You will find benefits of each class no matter how strong and flexible you are or are not. As long as you are feeling the posture and at the same time maintaining a slow, even, and flowing breath you are practicing correctly.
In the beginning, don't push yourself too hard.
Yoga shouldn't cause you pain (even two days later). It is a lifelong practice, so really, there is no need to be in a rush. This practice encourages you to begin slowly, practice regularly, breathe deeply, pay attention, and build on the small gradual changes you observe as you progress.
Welcome to Studio Bamboo, a center of movement that offers a pause, a refuge from stress and hurriedness, tangible the minute you step into the space away from the cars whizzing by. It is the space in between the rest of our busy days and lives where students can show up and belong. Even if it is your first time to the center, your friends are certainly there (maybe you just haven't met yet!). The consistency, reliability, and integrity of the teachers and staff both attract a welcoming community and are respectful of students' busy lives. Students have a choice, come join a community of individuals who have embraced these practices not only as exercise, but as a way of life.
