Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a cosmetic procedure to remove the fat and extra skin from your upper and lower eyelids. The eyelids are often the telling sign of a person's age, and our treatments can help sagging eyelids and provide eyelid lifts. The doctor at NY FACE PLACE uses state-of-the-art technology and lasers to correct your droopy upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes. As we age, we begin to develop droopy or "puffy" eyelids. This process starts in the 30's and 40's and progresses with the aging process. These changes usually occur because over the years, the eyelid skin thins, loses tone, and becomes more susceptible to gravity. The fat pockets gradually herniate forward which can cause bags in both the upper and lower eyelid. When Dr. Meneshian performs eyelid surgery, his patients look well rested, alert, and more youthful.
Facelift (Rhyticdectomy)
Facelift surgery, or a rhytidectomy, is designed to restore a more youthful appearance by removing major wrinkles and sagging skin. It involves tightening of the facial and neck muscles as well as the removal of any excess skin. The skin begins to wrinkle and sag as a result of age, sun exposure and genetics. Over time, the skin sags and folds around the chin, jaw line and neck become prominent. Not only does a facelift improve facial appearance but also has a dramatic effect on the neck, enhancing its contour and profile.
Neck Lift
In a female, a well-defined neck silhouette is a sign of youthfulness and beauty. As one ages, a combination of loose, hanging skin and the accumulation of fat under the chin contribute to the loss of the well-defined neck you once had. While advanced changes in the neck, like those of a "turkey wattle", are usually corrected by a facelift, early changes in the neck can often be addressed in a more limited procedure, a neck lift.

Chin Implants/Chin advancement (Genioplasty)
The chin is important to the overall balance of the face. A large or small chin may create a proportional imbalance with other facial features such as the neck, lips, nose and forehead. A chin that is too large in dimension can be reduced, and the chin that is too small can be augmented. These chin surgical procedures are often done in concert with other cosmetic procedures or can be performed alone. It is most common for a patient to seek a chin augmentation. This is accomplished by placing an artificial implant, or advancing the chinbone. The type of procedure depends on the degree of chin recession and the patient's individual goals.
Liposuction
As we age, certain areas of the body can accumulate fat that is hard to lose, in spite of a healthy diet and vigorous exercise. The neck is one such area. Fatty deposits in the neck can detract from the appearance of the entire body, making a younger person seem older, or a fit person seem out of shape. Liposuction can give this area a new streamlined contour, enhancing the effect of facial features and improving the profile. Liposuction in this area produces consistently good results, and has a particularly high satisfaction rate.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
As one of the most exciting and innovative scientific achievements to date, laser technology is being utilized throughout the health care community. Dr. Meneshian uses one of the newest lasers, the ultrapulse carbon dioxide laser, to treat sun-damaged skin, facial wrinkles and scars in a procedure called laser skin resurfacing.
Mole Removal
Moles are clusters of heavily pigmented skin cells, either flat or raised above the skin surface. While most pose no danger, some-particularly large moles present at birth, or those with mottled colors and poorly defined borders-may develop into malignant melanoma. Moles are frequently removed for cosmetic reasons, or because they're constantly irritated by clothing or jewelry (which can sometimes cause pre-cancerous changes). Most moles are removed surgically. If the mole is small, the procedure can be done quickly and easily, in our office, using local anesthesia. The procedure may be a simple excision, which usually leaves a thin, barely visible scar.
Earlobe Repair
Cosmetic surgery to repair a torn earlobe is a frequent occurrence. Piercing an earlobe puts it at risk to tear. The size, style and weight of an earring can contribute to the stretching of the earlobe opening. Large earrings that dangle are caught on clothing or grasped by a child. The result may be a partially or completely torn earlobe. Repair of a torn earlobe is performed in our office using a special surgical tool called the Ellman radiofrequency knife. This tool allows very sharp cutting without the bleeding. The procedure consists of "freshening" the edges of the split and placement of sutures to complete the repair of the earlobe.

Injectable Fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse)
An injectable filler is a gel that is injected into the skin in order to add volume to lips and smooth out wrinkles and folds. Most fillers consist of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural substance already present in your body. Once in the skin, fillers work by creating volume. These fillers are non-animal based therefore do not require allergy testing like the old collagen fillers.
Microdermabrasion & Light Peels

Microdermabrasion and light chemical peels gently exfoliate the dead outer skin (epidermis) layer, producing fresh young skin cells and collagen resulting in softer and smoother skin. The procedure takes 30 to 60 minutes and there is no downtime. Treatments are recommended every 2 to 4 weeks. A series of 4 to 8 treatments are recommended.
