Personal Training - One on One
Get personalized attention through taking part in one on one Personal Training with one of our professional, experienced trainers. Personal trainers provide safe, effective training methods that will help athletes to achieve his/her goal.
Personal Training - Two Athletes
Get great results while training with a friend. MFC Sports Performance trainers implement a customized program for the participating athletes that focuses on the wants and needs of the athletes.

It is our goal to prepare athletes for competition through strength training, flexibility training, speed and agility training, and power training. Our professional, experienced training staff aims to get the most out of each athlete that is part of our program.
Meet the Team
Shane Herman - Personal Trainer
Shane Herman is a Certified Personal Trainer and graduated from World Instructor Training Schools. Shane is an Exercise Development Specialist and Youth Fitness Specialist. Shane has vast knowledge and experience in training for football, wrestling, competitive bodybuilding, distance running, power lifting, yoga, and bike riding. Shane has also been an integral part of Complete Conditioning, a company for small gyms and independent personal trainers. Shane welcomes the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals with varying fitness levels. His experience in Personal Training and Health Coaching in football, soccer, health clubs, nursing homes, park districts, clients' homes, and corporate wellness make him a well round fitness professional. More specifically, Shane has helped Reyes Holdings (Rosemont, Il) employees to become healthier and fitter through implementing custom workout plans. Shane promoted and supported the health and wellness of all staff and their families at Reyes Holdings. Shane is also Co-Founder and Fitness Director of Midwest Fit Club.
Matt Gallagher - Personal Trainer
Matt Gallagher is a personal trainer with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. While pursuing his Master's Degree, Matt conducted a research project on college students and studied the effects of supervised weight training on body composition changes and strength increases. Matt has extensive knowledge and experience using body composition techniques, including the latest body fat analysis testing. Matt has also trained Division I collegiate athletes. While Matt's main interest and area of expertise is involved in rapid body-recomposition (lowering body fat and improving lean muscle tissue), Matt also has experience with corrective exercise, speed training, agility training, power training, and strongman training. Matt has been training people of all ages and fitness levels for 5 years cumulatively speaking, and his passion and desire to help people achieve their fitness goals is one of the biggest thrills in his life.
Dan Emmens - Athlete Instructor
Dan Emmens is a certified personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Illinois State University (ISU). During his studies at ISU, Dan discovered his passion for fitness when he competed in his first Strongman competition. His favorite event is the Atlas Stones. In addition to competing, Dan has experience in a variety of sports such as soccer, volleyball, and cross country running. His areas of expertise include Strongman training, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), adding lean mass, and body fat reduction. He also has personal understanding in working with individuals with physical disabilities such as deafness and blindness. Additionally, after ISU, Dan attended the College of DuPage and got certified as an EMT-B from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the Illinois Department of Public Health. It's clear that Dan refuses to settle for average results with his never quit attitude. He looks forward to hearing your story and helping you accomplish your goals!
John Bolster - Personal Trainer
John Bolster received his personal training certification through the World Instructor Training Schools. John's knowledge is vast in many fitness related areas and, more specifically, John has extensive knowledge related to youth strength and conditioning. John's training methods are science based and can be customized to meet the wants and needs of an athlete. In addition to specializing in youth strength and conditioning, John is passionate about body fat reduction in all ages. Outside MFC Sports Performance, John enjoys being outdoors and playing a variety of sports. John has also enjoyed extensive strength training since a young age and continues to actively strength train. These experiences help him connect with and teach a younger generation of athletes. John welcomes the opportunity to work with a wide variety of athletes and help them to reach their maximum potential.
Brian Tutt - Fitness Trainer and Wellness Coach
Brian Tutt is an enthusiastic trainer with a passion for improving others' quality of life through fitness. His belief is that a sound body will house a strong spirit. This has been especially true as he has experienced fitness from the lens of an overweight individual and a severely underweight individual, before finally finding fitness as a lifestyle rather than a destination. To Brian, fitness is a broad spectrum of physical and mental levels that can always be challenged and directed in hundreds of different combinations. Brian believes fitness should challenge you and improve your confidence, self esteem, and health. Brian strongly believes fitness should be fun and enjoyable and always leave you just a little hungry for more!
