Choose any class as your first. If you are unsure as to which is the best fit, we recommend joining our Introductory Series. The same postures are taught during each class. Every 6 weeks, the series is begun again. In-depth instruction of alignment and posture is included.
Sanskrit Translations
Asana: Seat or Posture

Jenay, RYT500, M.S. Counseling will guide you through a practice just for you. These classes are designed to focus on your specific need. You may work to recover from injury, maintain strength and flexibility before and after pregnancy, increase balance and strength or help you and your significant other reconnect through Asana. Introductory Series

Learn how to practice Yoga. We will begin anew every six weeks. Each series will begin with learning Sun Salutations from start to finish. As we progress, we will add in breath direction. You will be instructed in accuracy of alignment and movement in order to develop strong practices that will help you to feel comfortable in any class or studio.
Balancing/Alignment

VATA governs all movement in the mind and body. It controls blood flow, elimination of wastes, breathing and the movement of thoughts across the mind. Learn to direct your body's movement with intention through alignment-focused posturing. Develop control as you move with effort and intention through familiar postures. SATTVA is the attribute or quality of equilibrium, balance, serenity, purity, tranquility, equanimity, or peace. It is the illuminating force or uplifting energy. Practice learning to balance your body, breath and mind through intentional movement within and between postures. Strengthen your ability to physically balance and learn to bring balance into the rest of your life.
Restorative

PITTA governs all heat, metabolism and transformation in the mind and body. It controls how we digest foods, how we metabolize our sensory perceptions, and how we discriminate between right and wrong. Pitta governs the important digestive "agnis" or fires of the body. Learn to calm your inner fires and quiet your thoughts through slow and restorative posturing and deep breathing. TAMAS is a state of darkness, inertia, inactivity and immateriality, it represents the darkening, stultifying, and inertial aspects of creation. Through deep, restorative posturing you will learn that nothing is ever still and everything is always changing. With the support of tools, explore the depth of postures that appear simple, yet create significant changes. YOGA WITH BABES is a class for infants and young children (pre-school aged) as well as women who are expecting. We will do postures that include your little one as well as poses to maintain strength and flexibility. Focus will be given to relieving back pain and developing arm and abdominal strength. Parents are welcome to come as they are. Toys are provided for children in need of additional activity.
Vinyasa/Flow

RAJAS is the activating element of nature and that which represents movement between the two opposing sides of duality. It manifests in the qualities of restlessness, activity, pushiness, and ambition. Rajas keeps a person involved outwardly. Focus your attention upon your Self through active movement that requires constant focus. Flow between poses with grace and intention. KAPHA governs all structure and lubrication in the mind and body. It controls weight, growth, lubrication for the joints and lungs, and formation of all the seven tissues — nutritive fluids, blood, fat, muscles, bones, marrow and reproductive tissues. Lubricate your joints and engage muscularly through active movements and gracefully flow between postures. Heat your body and eliminate toxins.
Relaxation

YOGA NIDRA is the occurrence of focused thought while your body is in a resting state. This ancient practice has been used for thousands of years to provide much needed rest to the body while inducing a sense of sleepless sleep for the mind. Following this practice you will feel rejuvenated and renewed - as though you have taken a long nap.
Heated

TAPAS means "to burn." It evokes a sense of fire, discipline and passion. Our studio space will be warmed to approximately 80*. During the practice, the heat will help you to move more deeply into postures and release toxins. Please arrive prepared with water and a towel.
Workshops

HATHA YOGA PHILOSOPHY dates back over 5000 years. Each month we will focus upon a different aspect of the practice. Learn the philosophies and practice of Hatha Yoga and how to apply them when you are in the studio and living your life. YOGA AND HARP STRINGS combines movement and sound to encourage a deeper practice of physical awareness and mindful focus. These restorative practices will be accentuated through live harp music while Yoga Philosophy is woven throughout the session.

Individual & Group Private Sessions
Any of these packages can be modified to work in your location. Just ask for on-location pricing. Book a private session for your self in order to learn about or deepen your knowledge of Yoga. Want the teacher all to yourselves? Book a group private. You choose the time, participants and place.
Therapeutic Privates
This practice is excellent for those suffering from or working through recovering from Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders or Addiction. During a therapeutic Yoga session the student is offered the ability to work deeper into his or her issues. Those suffering from anxiety and depression will be offered the opportunity to learn more about him or herself and create a practice to help them manage their recovery. Therapeutic privates are only taught by Jenay, M.S. Counseling, RYT-500.
Practice Deepening Privates
For those students who are new to Yoga or who would like to deepen their practice a Yoga private can help to bring clarity to exactly why we do Yoga. These sessions focus on learning about the philosophy behind Yoga, offer opportunities to ask questions as well as to work deeper into every aspect of our practice. A typical session may include Meditation, more challenging Asana, Pranayama practice, Mantra and more. Remember that the practice is yours.

Fit To Be Tied
For the bride and groom to be. A practice designed for two. Learn to use Yoga Asana in partner poses. Re-connect with one another, open and relax.
Melt the Worries Away
The day before the "big day" can be more worry than celebration. For the groom or bride-to-be, this private session focuses on relaxation and letting go of the stress and worry. Take the time for yourself and find a bit of bliss before the big day.
This One's For The Girls
For the Bridal Party. A semi-private session that focuses on heating the body and having fun with Yoga Asana. For groups, this class will help you have fun and recover from whatever it was you did last night. 1 hour and 90 minute sessions available.
Just for the Moms
Give your moms time to bond with this semi-private class. Focusing on gentle poses, using props and supports, this class will help to create relaxation (and maybe get them out of your hair for a while.)
A Family Affair
For groups of 5 or more. Bring the family to Yoga! Get everyone loosened up, stretched out and having fun together! Learn fun poses and try tricky balances. This class is great for children over 5, as well. 1 hour or 90 minutes sessions available.
Tantra Yoga
Deepen your passion with a tantra yoga practice. Learn postures that can help you develop a deeper connection with your partner through the practice of tantra or passionate practice.

Large Groups
100+; BYO mat, blanket, etc; 60 min., 90 min., or 120 min. sessions; single sessions, daily or series available. We'll come to you. Being a local studio, we have connections with many of the area hotels and resorts. We've taught on the beach, lawn and in conference centers. We'll come prepared with music and a microphone. You and your group will depart feeling peaceful and relaxed.
In-Studio
up to 20 participants; mats and tools provided; 60 min., 90 min. or 120 min. sessions; single session, daily or series available. Practice in our studio. The space has everything needed for participants at all levels. Participants: Min: 5, Max: 20. Space must be booked at least 1 month in advance. Bookings are not available during regularly scheduled classes.
Your Location
hotel, rental house, condo. You name it, we'll be there; mats provided; 60 minutes up to full day; single session, daily or series available. Choose a location and we'll bring the practice to your group. From beaches to boathouses, paddle boards to boats, we've brought yoga everywhere. Want to add in a hike and stretch at the top? We'll be there, too. Looking for us to plan the day for you? No problem. We know the best places to hike, bike and swim. Just ask. Participants: Min: 5, Max: Unlimited. Advanced booking of 2 months required for large groups and full-day sessions. If your group is larger than 30, we suggest two separate sessions for the best experience. 60 minute, 90 minute and 120 minute single sessions, daily or series may be booked up to 1 month in advance.
Beach
Choose a beach or, join us at Nevada Beach; bring your beach blanket; 60 min., 90 min. or 120 min; single session, daily or series available. Set up on one of Lake Tahoe's incredible beaches and feel the stress of the office slipping away. Beach sessions are fun, safe and challenging. Shift your perspective while balancing in the sand and let your eyes wander to the deep blue waters of the lake. Participants: Min.: 5, Max: Unlimited. Advanced booking of 2 weeks required. Weekend sessions book up quickly. Morning or evening sessions are recommended. If booking for groups larger than 30, we suggest two separate sessions for the best experience. Participants should come prepared with: beach blanket or towel, sunscreen, water, hat and sunglasses. Swimming after class is always encouraged.
Paddle Board
El Dorado Beach, CA; paddle boards included; 90 min. or 120 min; single session, daily or series available; no experience necessary; Have you ever wished you could walk on water? Lake Tahoe's water is so clear and calm that you may feel like you are. Lake Tahoe Yoga was the first studio in Lake Tahoe to offer stand up paddle yoga sessions. We welcome everyone to try our paddle yoga practice. These classes will teach balance, body awareness and encourage a sense of tranquility within while you float on the waters of the lake. Participants: Min.: 5, Max.: 15. Advanced booking of 2-3 weeks required. Sessions in July and August book up quickly. Morning sessions are recommended due to high winds in the afternoons. Come prepared with clothing that can get wet, sunglasses (make sure they are attached to you), hat and sunscreen. Lockers are available for valuables.

Registration must be received 24 hours in advance of the class in which you would like to participate. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent upon payment. There is a limit of 15 participants. Refunds are given for cancellations 24 or more hours in advance.

Whether you like to call it Standup Paddle, Paddleboarding or SUP, we have the perfect equipment for all ages and abilities.

Course Fee: $2300*. Individual Session Audit: $100/ 3 hour session - $200/ 6 hour session.

Completed Application - Due: November 30. Interview. Non-refundable $50 deposit.
