I possess current certifications to teach NRA Basic Shooters Classes in Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun, Personal Defense Inside and Outside the Home. The NRA Basic Pistol Shooters Course is the basis for the firearms safety and marksmanship portion of the NC Concealed Carry Handgun Course. I recommend you contact theWake County Firearms Training and Education Center in Apex (www.wakegov.com/locations/publicsafety/fetc.html) for information about the NRA courses. My facility will not support the Personal Defense classes, and there is not enough demand for the other NRA courses for me to schedule those classes.

About Us
Hitting the Mark Firearms Training is owned and operated by Mark D. Cline.
Mark is an NRA Certified Instructor in Basic Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun shooting. He is also trained and certified by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Commission and the North Carolina Justice Academy to teach and certify persons seeking a North Carolina Concealed Carry - Handgun Permit.
I have over 45 years of firearms and hunting experience.
I have consistently carried concealed firearms for more than 16 years. I am also an NRA certified Range Safety Officer and an experienced North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission Volunteer Hunter Education Instructor. I take great pleasure in serving my Lord, Jesus Christ and using the gifts He has given me to prepare students for the serious moral, spiritual and mental issues that confront those who would assume the responsibility of wielding deadly force.
Mark says
Class typically begins at 8am and is usually completed before 7pm.
Eye and ear protection is required. I have enough for most students.
Do not bring any firearms, or ammunition!
I will provide the guns and ammunition for this class.
You will need to bring a bag lunch and plan to work through lunch.
There will be soft drinks and snacks available.
Other Info
In my continuing efforts to reduce noise in the neighborhood, to reduce wear and tear on the bullet stops
shorten the overall length of the class, and enhance safety for the students, I have decided to provide a firearm and ammunition for the purposes of the class.
My range is actually located inside my shop, and accommodates 1 shooter at the time.
It is very comfortable in the summer, but can be a little cool in the winter, depending on your taste. A jacket is recommended in cold weather. Also, since semi-auto pistols tend to throw hot brass back, it is recommended that you not wear low cut tops, or other clothing which could catch the brass. A baseball type cap is also handy to keep the brass out of your face and clothing.
