My passion for food dates back to my childhood years growing up in my hometown of Carini Sicily. Most of my teenage years were spent on my family's farm growing fresh fruit and vegetable gardens, as well as raising livestock Quality time with the family was always spent around the kitchen table surrounded by my mother's home made Italian specialties.
In my early 20’s my cousin Sal and I decided to oorne to the United States. I started to work in a small restaurant in Pennsylvania, and through the years moved to New York and New Jersey. The restaurants were always bigger and grandeur. In the 1980's Sal and I decided to move to North Carolina to start our own business. The first Sal's Pizza and Restaurant was established. Today, many are located throughout the Raleigh Area.
