Ever since she was 11 and working by her father’s side in the family restaurant, Rosa Russo-Calabrese dreamed of one day having her own eatery. Now, the 37-year-old and her 34-year-old sister, Ina Bottum, are making their dreams come true. The two have taken over the family business and on Aug. 24 will debut a renovated and expanded Russo’s Pizza Bar and Grille, 6209 S. Division Ave.
“This is what I’ve gown up with and what I know. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do,” Russo-Calabrese said. She credits the family’s business success to hard work, connections with customers and quality, authentic Italian and American menu items.
