Sometime in the 1930's or 40's, maybe even in the 20's, on the corner of Torrey and North Rds. in Fenton, Michigan a gas station was built. And it stayed a full service gas station for many, many years. The kind where a gentleman would actually come out and pump your gas for you, check your oil and 'clean the bugs' off your windshield. They did it all from changing a belt to changing an engine.
In 1975 a liquor license became available (please E-mail me if anybody can remember the name of the Tavern the license came from).
Anyway, a couple of enterprising gentlemen decided to purchase that license and move it. And move it they did!
They bought the Phillipps 66 gas station on the corner of Torrey and North Rds. and turned it into a Bar Restaurant called The Cedar Mill Lounge.
