How Long Will a Pura Spray Last and How Do I Prepare My Skin?
Depending on your skin type

To prepare your skin for your Pura experience
Exfoliate your skin up to 24 hours prior to being sprayed. If you do not have exfoliant at home, we offer Pura towelettes for purchase for $1. Have your skin free of all lotion, makeup, deodorant, and perfume. Anything that creates a barrier on your skin will alter the effectiveness of the spray. Wear loose fitting clothing and shoes
It is key that you do not get wet
sweat or shower for 8-10 hours after your spray to allow your color to set properly. After the minimum time has lapsed, you may shower, avoiding any harsh scrubbing. Additional Pura products such as body wash and tan extending moisturizer are available for purchase to maximize your results and life of your tan

How a Spray Tan Works
A Lion in the Sun certified technician will spray the tanning formula onto your skin with a professional system by Norvell
the leader in the sunless industry. The active ingredient is dihydroxyacetone (DHA), which is a simple non-toxic sugar that is often derived from plant sources such as sugar beets or sugar cane. DHA causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the outer most layer of your skin. This reaction causes the color of the skin to change, producing a beautiful and natural tan. DHA starts to react with the skin within to hours of application and continues to do so for a total of 8-12 hours. As your dead skin cells are worn away from the surface, your tan will begin to fade
