Ms. Jacqueline opened La Poubelle in 1969 based on a childhood dream of having a creperie in America. With humble beginnings, a small kitchen where the bar now resides, 35 crepes and 15 omelettes were served to the music of Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel. Four decades later, La Poubelle has truly become a Hollywood landmark, catering to loyal neighbors and friends. We would like to sincerely thank those of you who have supported us through the years. In addition to operating La Poubelle, Jacqueline and her daughter Francoise work with several non-profit animal rescues as well as many Los Angeles inner city elementary schools and other charitable organizations
