The Emerald of Siam was founded in 1983 by sisters Ravadi Quinn and Sunanta Kulthol. With ?nancial support from their loving parents, the Thai women were able to convert what was a small cafe in Thrifty Drug into a tiny little Thai restaurant. The very ?rst Thai restaurant in the Tri-Cities!
In the 25 years since then Sunanta has retired in Thailand, and three of Ravadi's ?ve children - Dara, Bill, and Suzanne have joined the regular staff of the Emerald. The Emerald of Siam has seen many changes in the last 20 years, - what was just a few booths and a couple of tables eventually expanded all the way to the wall of the Uptown movie theater two doors down.
