We are back with a whole fresh lineup of shows to finish the summer off with a bang. In the meantime you've got plenty of time to acquaint yourself with the veritable plethora of acts we’ve got lined up for the "loudest and proudest" festival New York has to offer. Over the last seven years the infamous festival's reputation has grown to one of national prominence. That which defines the Gypsy diaspora, tenacity, vivaciousness, variety and spirit, in turn defines our entire festival. With all events taking place at Drom, the Romani word for "road," festival attendees get a chance to see all the acts in a plush, intimate and inviting interior. In preparation for the epic 7th edition of the New York Gypsy Festival we welcome you all.
In the meantime keep your eyes open for new shows throughout the end of August. Selloane returns from her global tour with fresh tunes and even more energy. For our Turkish music lovers, DJ Hakan Kufundur presents the Nostalgia Turkish Pop Party, playing all your favorite hits. On August 31, we are ecstatic to announce a very special concert series, Mikarimba. Mika Yoshida, marimba extraordinaire, along with master players Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez and Stephan Karlsson will play four concerts setting the musical standard.
