Tea Menu Indian Spiced Chai Tea
Chai is so prevalent in India and Sri Lanka that it could be called the "national drink". This tea is made from a premium black tea from Sri Lanka, and is blended with cardamom, cloves, coriander, sweet cumin seeds, curry leaves, lemon grass, and rampe leaves. It is best enjoyed with milk and sugar to taste. The word "chai" literally means tea. Often a lower quality tea is used to make chai as it is thought the spices will cover-up any deficiencies in the tea. We do not believe this and prefer to make our dry tea chai mix from real Indian spices and high-grown Ceylon tea. The quality of the tea elevates this chai to a new level. We recommend turning the bag of chai upside down a few times. The reason is that during transit the spices can settle at the bottom of the bag
Chocolate Mint Flavored Black Tea
One of the most delectable pairings of flavors, when combined, chocolate and mint are sure to create an intoxicating taste. This tea delivers a bright and coppery infusion and a chocolatey mint flavor that is especially prominent when milk and sugar are added. We find this tea tastes best when served hot, but it can also be enjoyed over ice

English Breakfast Tea Blend No. 1
This is a blend of the finest Assam, Ceylon and Kenyan teas. This is a stronger tea, and makes a great start to the day. It has a full malty flavor, and is a rich dark color. We recommend this tea be served hot with milk and a little sugar, but it is also delicious served with lemon or it can be used to make iced tea. These are English style teabags without strings and tags and with 3.1 g of tea. This is 50% more tea than US style string and tag teabags, which only have 2.1 g of tea. We also like the English style better for brewing tea in a teapot, as the strings do get tangled around our spoon when stirring the tea. Tea made in India, Sri Lanka ( Ceylon ) and Kenya. Blended and Packaged in the UK or US to our exclusive recipe
Regular Earl Grey Tea
Earl Grey is a blend of Indian and Ceylon teas. The tea gets its unusual flavor from oil of BERGAMOT. Bergamot is a small acidic orange. The sour orange is native to southern Vietnam, hence the Chinese connection. This tea has a light refreshing taste, and can be served hot with or without milk or sugar. It can be used to make iced tea. Tea made in India and China Blended and Packaged in the UK or USA to our recipe

This Earl Grey tea is a blend of Indian and Ceylon teas. The tea gets its unusual flavor from oil of BERGAMOT. Bergamot is a small acidic orange. The latest research indicates that the Bergamot orange is a cross between the sweet or pear lemon (Citrus Limetta) and the Seville or sour orange (Citrus Aurantium). The sour orange is native to southern Vietnam, hence the Chinese connection. This tea has a light refreshing taste, and can be served hot with or without milk or sugar. It can be used to make iced tea. Our teabags are English style, without strings and tags and have 3.1 g of tea. This is 50% more tea than US style string and tag teabags. Earl Grey tea was named after Charles Grey, the second earl in his line. He was Prime Minister to King William IV in the early 19th century. The legend is that the Earl was given the recipe by a Chinese mandarin with whom he was friends, and whose life he had saved. English Breakfast Tea Blend No. 2
A perfect breakfast tea with a good body and full tea flavour notes. Coppery bright especially enticing with milk. This is a very nice English breakfast blend. It's smooth, clean, slightly malty, and tastes nice weak or strong. It's also difficult to oversteep, which is always a plus in my book. I even committed the unthinkable sin and reheated my cup in the microwave after it cooled, and it was just as delicious as when it was fresh, not even slightly bitter. I prefer a slightly more flavorful breakfast tea, such as the Highlander Blend, but this is perfectly lovely for afternoon or a quiet morning. I would purchase this tea again

Gunpowder Green Tea
This is a stronger green tea from China with a distinctive nutty / oak taste. It makes a darker green color tea. Legend has it that the name Gunpowder was given by an young English clerk who thought the tiny rolled green balls looked like gunpowder. The tea leaves are specially selected for quality, size and style. They are then rolled into very small tight nuggets. Gunpowder tea keeps a lot longer than other green teas and is favored because of this characteristic. Chinese exporters recommend gunpowder for iced tea flavored with lemon and sugar. Gunpowder tea is also very popular in Morocco where the leaves are boiled and mint and sugar are added. Our teabags are English style, without strings and tags and have 3.1 g of tea. This is 50% more tea than US style string and tag teabags. Chinese researchers have found that gunpowder tea is high in fluoride and known to reduce cavities. They say that a human body requires 1-2 milligrams of fluoride a day. Ten grams of gunpowder tea (enough to make 3 cups of strong tea) can supply this amount. Tea made in China Packaged in the USA

Keemun Panda
A winey, fruity tea with depth and complexity. Takes milk well. Makes a bright and reddish brew. Of all the China black teas available Keemun Panda #1 is probably one of the best known. Keemun is one of the congou-type teas; meaning it requires a great deal of gongfu, (disciplined skill) to make into fine taut strips without breaking the leaves. Interestingly the characters in the written Chinese script for time and labor are the same as those used for ?gongfu?. It is often said that a properly produced Keemun such as Panda #1 is one of the finest teas in the world with a complex aromatic and penetrating character often compared to burgundy wines. Traditionally keemuns were used in English Breakfast tea. Keemun is one the best-keeping black teas. Fine specimens will keep for years if stored properly and take on a mellow winey character. The name Keemun comes from Qimen county in southern Anhui province, where almost all the mountains are covered with tea bushes. Qimen county produced only green tea until the mid 1870?s. Around that time a young man in the civil service lost his job. Despite being totally heartbroken and completely embarrassed by his shame, he remembered what his father told him ?A skill is a better guarantor of a living than precarious officialdom?. Following this advice, the young man packed up his courage and his bags to travel to Fujian Province to learn the secrets of black tea manufacturing. Upon his return to Qimen in 1875 he set up three factories to produce black tea. The black tea method was perfectly suited to the tea leaves produced in this warm moist climate with well drained sandy soil. Before long, the superb flavor of Keemuns became very popular around the world
White Tea
This white tea produces an amber brew, and has a jammy / malty taste closer to medium black tea than green tea. This tea proved very popular with our test group of tea drinkers, even converting some from long time favorites like English Breakfast and Earl Grey. With a great taste and 3 times more antioxidants compared to black or green tea, this tea is really worth a try! This tea is made from Pai Mu Tan white tea, which is the highest grade of white tea available before one enters the stratosphere in pricing for white teas such as Peony White Needle Tea. Pai Mu Tan leaves are plucked from a special varietal tea bush called Narcissus or chaicha bushes. The leaves are not steamed or pan-fired (the process used in green teas). The leaves are naturally withered and dried in the sun. Thirdly only special ?two leaves and a bud? are selected. These leaves must show a very light green almost gray white color and be covered with velvet peach fuzz down
