Many years ago, three best buddies took a fantastic trip to New Orleans and came home to Nyack, determined to bring a slice of Cajun culture and atmosphere with them. In the spring of 1999, the guys located and dismantled a 19th century barn in upstate New York, using the pieces to build a little piece of the French Quarter right here on Main Street. Lovingly adorning it with hundreds of keepsakes and souvenirs, they proudly opened Bourbon Street of Nyack on June 18, 1999. Though some years have passed and some faces have come and gone, their dream has never changed. "We wanted to create a fun, happy atmosphere where people can come for good food, good friends and good times. Sounds simple, but it's what we've always been about."
