This is not your ordinary chicken. Belcampo's pasture-raised, organic heritage chicken is a Freedom Ranger which is a breed valued for it's flavor and ability to adapt to our farm environment. Belcampo chicken are raised outside on pasture and are truly free-range. The Freedom Ranger has a more natural proportion of breast to hindquarter meat than the Cornish variety which is bred for more white meat. You can cook it as you would typically cook chicken, and it also holds up great with low and slow cooking. It has the delicious true chicken flavor your Grandmother remembers.
