A Peer Parent Support Partner is a parent or primary caregiver raising a child with emotional, behavioral, mental health or substance use needs and has navigated one or more child serving systems. Child-serving systems may include, school, child welfare, juvenile justice or mental health.
Youth Advocacy (15 min)
Youth Advocacy is a structured, one-to-one strengths based relationship between a youth and a Youth Advoacte for the purpose of improving the capacity of the youth's ability to navigate and/or advocate within child-serving systems (ie. schools, mental health, child-welfare and juvenile justice) as a self-advocate.
