Our practice teaches self-realization through the union of a harmonious mind, emotions, body, spirit and breath. The historic roots of yoga form the foundation of every class. We aim to respect and share its original teachings while bringing the practice into modern day application. We offer over 20 styles of yoga to restore and invigorate. Hatha Foundation is a great place to start. Further your journey with Yin/Yang — a combination of two popular styles. Relax your mind with Gentle Yoga, Nidra or our Warm Yin/Restorative classes. Challenge your already-fit self with Ashtanga, Peak Inspired, Warm Flow or Regular Flow/Lunch Flow.
Restorative Yoga Classes
Drop-in / All Levels. Yoga works its magic by bringing body, mind and spirit into a state of harmony and balance. Focusing on the sensations that arise as you breathe through your asana practice, you bridge the separation between body and mind, allowing you to become fully present within your body. This gentle yet in-depth practice consists of a sequence of asanas that increases flexibility and strengthens your entire body, releasing the chronic tension that can dull vitality.
Kundalini with Gongs
Drop-in / All - Levels. Kundalini yoga is an ancient technology that uses asana, meditation, and mantra for creating powerful shifts in physical well-being, expanding consciousness, and tapping into creativity. This class will combine an accessible-to-all physical practice with the deep, healing resonance of a long gong relaxation to regulate the nervous system. Everyone Welcome. No previous experience necessary.
Sound Bath Meditation
Drop-in / All Levels. Take the time to breathe, to relax and to journey inward. Melt into 60 minutes of supported restorative postures that prepare your body and mind for a 30-minute guided sound bath meditation. The quartz crystal singing bowls that will be played are tuned to the seven main energy centres. The tones and vibrations of the bowls allow for deep shifts and openings to be received through the energetic body. Explore the gifts you receive from being embraced in a sacred space of relaxation, sound and healing to rest your mind and restore your body. This class is perfect for any body type and is beneficial for anyone dealing with insomnia, depression, anxiety, pain or stress. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing a pillow and blanket.

Drop-in / All - Levels. Rejuvenate your body with this blended sequence of yin and restorative yoga. Begin with deep stretches designed to target the deep connective tissues, increase flexibility and open the meridians of the body. Then a relaxing restorative sequence will softly unfold your body with the support of props to ensure complete relaxation into the postures. Come away feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and restored.
Drop-in / All Levels. This class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – hips, pelvis, inner thighs and lower spine. While each posture is held for three to six minutes, mindfulness practices are offered to encourage complete surrender in each pose. Crystal singing bowls will occasionally be used to enhance relaxation and the energetic healing benefits of yin yoga.
Yin/Yang - Flow/Yin
Drop-in / All - Levels. Yin/Yang navigates between mindful stillness and fluid movement. Yin is a therapeutic class with meditative qualities that encourages healing. A more active, dynamic yang style of vinyasa follows, strengthening and invigorating the body and mind with a combination of movement and postures that bring strength, flexibility and balance to your practice. Yin/Yang or Flow/Yin is an ideal class for students seeking ease of muscle tension through dynamic movement and breath, and deeper openings facilitated by static, timely stretching. Element: Water (Jala). Water gives the power of reflection. Unlike fire which destroys, water takes the shape of whichever contain it occupies. On a river bed, water flows and ripples, while in a pond, water stays perfectly placid. Flow/Yin envisions the body as vessel for the current of the mind. The mind, like water follows the body in rhythmic movements, and then eases into calm and steadiness.
Yoga, Breath and Meditation
Drop-in / All - Levels. In Yoga, Breath & Meditation we focus on preparing your body and mind for meditation. We will begin with an energetic flow to warm and settle the body, followed by Pranayama (breathing practices) techniques to help quiet and steady the mind before we end in meditation. You will leave with a sense of clarity and feel balanced in body and mind. Come join us for some quiet time. Everyone Welcome. No previous experience necessary.
Drop-in / All Levels. We begin with gentle movement to unwind and prepare ourselves before we melt into our yoga nidra practice. Yoga nidra – also called yogic sleep, or sleep with awareness – is an ancient practice that induces full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Resting into an extended savasana and turning all senses inward, you are guided step by step into your journey. As you move into a meditative state, you gradually find yourself in a state of harmony and ultimate relaxation, in which your brainwaves slow down and a subtle bliss emerges. Experience the profound healing on all levels as we rest deeply into ourselves.
$5 Yoga Groove
Drop-in / All Levels. Kick off your weekend by letting the week's stress melt away with this unique blend of flowing vinyasa and playful beats. Designed to invigorate your body, alleviate tension and enliven the senses, this class makes you work and sweat, empowering you through a dynamic asana practice.
Drop-in / All Levels. This multi-level class follows the traditional primary series sequencing of ashtanga yoga. If you are a newer student, modifications allow you to feel guided at your level, while experienced practitioners go deeper into their practice. Paced at a moderate cadence, this class is deeply cleansing, as well as strengthening to body and mind. Ashtanga yoga is the root of many forms of yoga practiced today. It is an essential addition to your yoga experience.
Drop-in / All - Levels. Hatha is a comprehensive Yoga class that brings strength and focus to your practice. Placing emphasis on longer, static holds, Hatha allows for increased time to explore the mindful alignment of mind and body in each posture. As an all-levels class, beginners will gain knowledge of the structure of postures, while more advanced practitioners can work on strength, precision and alignment. Element: Earth. Earth is dense and grounding. All yoga postures must be practiced on top of a steady foundation, on top of the earth. Before we can expand we must learn to steady and align our bodies, so that gravity may pass freely to the ground. Earth is steady and unshakeable, it's persistence is what forms the core of any safe and sustainable Yoga practice.
Intro Intermediate Asana
Drop-in / Intermediate. In this invigorating, mid-level workshop style class, we play and learn together. This weekly workshop focuses on integrating arm balance, inversion and back bends into your practice with tips, tricks and adjustments to get you comfortable in these asanas. Kramas or stages will be offered along the path to the full posture, allowing the practice to meet you where you are in your body today. As you pursue precision, not perfection, come and learn to find the fun again! This intermediate level class has a prerequisite of at least one year of yoga practice.
Drop-in / All - Levels. Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness: it is a system of ancient yogic postures, breathwork, meditation, mantra, and mudra to strengthen the nervous system and balance the glandular system. This practice is about awakening the 10 bodies (we have ten!), learning how to direct the life force energy in the body, stimulating reserves of energy, clearing and purifying the residue of the past, and developing the courage and strength to show up fully for this life. Kundalini Yoga is a pragmatic approach to sustainable happiness designed for our fast-paced lifestyle. Everyone Welcome. No previous experience necessary.
Drop-in / All Levels. This 50-minute lunchtime flow class blends postures from many yogic traditions, linking your breath to the postures. Our teachers' individual styles make each class unique.
Drop-in / All Levels. This is an invigorating, heated class that is taught to all levels on the spicier side of the effort level. Peak Inspired classes are sequenced thoughtfully, building effort through a break-down of anatomical movements and postures towards a "peak" or destination pose. Peak Inspired is an excellent class for students of all levels to inspire their practice to the next level, in a clear, safe and conscientious manner. Peak inspired classes are likely to include inversions, arm balances and hands on assists. Class Level/Yoga Experience: All levels, some Yoga experience is suggested. Red Element: Fire (Agni) The fire element is responsible for illumination and heat. In the subtle body fire mitigates our relationship between the earthly and spiritual centers from its location near the navel. Fire's intense heat transforms the element earth into space, and the element water into air. Peak Inspired classes invoke the fire element to transform practice to higher levels and shine light on new possibilities. Pranayama / Breathing Technique: Kapalbhati Classes will include pranayama (guided breathing technique) – before ~during ~ or to close the practice.

Find relief and contentment at the hands of our experienced therapists. Reiki, craniosacral therapy and a full menu of massage options are available on-site and should be considered a necessary part of your health and wellness plan. Relax, heal from injury and boost your immune system with regular appointments that may be covered by your benefits plan or insurance provider. We're happy to work with you to establish a treatment schedule that best meets your needs. For appointment requests within 72 hours, please call the studio to book.
Massage helps you relax, relieve tension, and de-stress, and it also helps boost your immune system by increasing white blood cell counts. Massage is not only good for your muscles, especially after a long week of arduous workouts, but also helps the rest of your body and your mind.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is popular with athletes whose muscles are continually under a lot of stress. The pressure is medium to deep, and the therapist stays within the comfort level of the client. The strokes are broad and deep and the therapist may have the muscle in motion while applying the pressure.
Swedish massage is a relaxation massage. It is normally light to medium pressure and the goal is to relax muscles and fascia. Swedish massage is effective for promoting circulation and lymph drainage.
Prenatal massage is done with the mother lying on her side for most of the massage. It's similar to a therapeutic massage, targeting areas that are causing the most discomfort.
Hot Stone Massage
Therapeutic hot stone massage is the use of hot stones in a therapeutic massage. The hot stones relax the muscles, helping to relieve tension and promote relaxation.
Therapeutic massage is performed with the intention to promote healing of stiff, sore, injured muscles. A goal for the massage is determined at the beginning, and the massage pressure is specific to the comfort and needs of the client.
Benefits of Massage
Massage is generally considered part of complementary and alternative medicine.
It's increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations. Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.
While more research is needed to confirm the benefits of massage, some studies have found massage may also be helpful for:
Anxiety / Digestive disorders / Fibromyalgia / Headaches / Insomnia related to stress / Myofascial pain syndrome / Soft tissue strains or injuries / Sports injuries / Joint pain.
Energy Based Alternative Therapies
Energy therapy aids in releasing tension, increasing vitality and supporting healing on not only a physical level, but on emotional, mental and spiritual levels as well. Bring balance to your life and leave feeling deeply relaxed and with a calmer state of being.
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, light touch method of releasing tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and enhance central nervous system performance, allowing the body to relax and self-correct. CST strengthens the body's natural healing processes to enhance resistance to disease and promote overall health.
Reiki treats the whole person, including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. A simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing, it has been effective in helping virtually every known illness, complementing other medical or therapeutic techniques.
Angel Card Reading
A card reading is the opportunity to give you some guidance around a area in your life that feels stuck, or blocked. You may have specific questions. "What is your next step in your life"? "Should I change careers"? "Am I on life's path"? A card reading can also help with general questions. The truth is all the answers are within us we just need the tools to help us tap into the awareness that is within.
Benefits of Energy Based Therapies
At the root of all sensory imbalances is an under or over-functioning central nervous system.
These imbalances can significantly negatively impact an individual's ability to optimally function.
People who experience sensory imbalances can gain great benefit from receiving non-invasive energy-based healing modalities such as craniosacral therapy and reiki.
These therapies can have an overall calming effect on the central nervous system. One should regularly utilize opportunities to relax the central nervous system which can positively benefit individuals with mild, moderate or complex disabilities.
All of our teachers are committed to creating a sacred safe space where the philosophy and practice can be both felt and learned. Each teacher brings their own strengths and expertise to the training experience, creating a rich and diverse learning environment for our students.
Stephanie Mendoza - RMT
Stephanie Mendoza moved from Mexico five years ago to pursue one of her biggest dreams, which is to live in Canada. Leaving behind her career as a graphic designer, and the nice weather, sand and waves from Baja, she moved to Calgary. Moving to Canada by herself gave Stephanie the opportunity to find something she felt was missing in Mexico. She started a beautiful journey on energy work, taking courses in pranic healing since 2012 and then going back to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist with 3000 hours of experience at MaKami College in Calgary. However, Stephanie still had the urge to continue putting all the pieces together, making her life a journey in learning new things and expanding her knowledge. As a massage therapist, she performs therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, pre-post natal massage and Swedish massage. She finds anatomy, physiology and biology very interesting and she likes to explain what may be causing pain in the area, as well as give you some work to do at home when it is needed. Stephanie practises meditation and likes to travel. Putting these two things together, she has been to wonderful and amazing places, such as the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge in the U.K., and doing sun salutations at the Haleakala Crater in Hawaii. She doesn't want to forget her Spanish, so if you have some Spanish words to offer, come and say hola! and she will be more than happy to talk to you. "Everybody in the world is seeking happiness, and there is one sure way to find it. That is by controlling your thoughts. Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions." – Dale Carnegie.
Katherine Rodger - RMT
Kat Rodger completed her 3000 hour diploma in massage therapy from Algonquin College, in Ottawa, in 2011. While in school she gained experience practicing in a maternity ward doing pre-natal, labour and infant massage, in a scar tissue rehabilitation clinic working with burns and surgical scars, in a school with disabled children and in a nursing home with the elderly. Since graduating, massage has taken her to many places including traveling with the Whitewater Grand Prix, an international whitewater kayaking competition, as therapist for the athletes and working at a 5-star resort in Torres del Paine, Patagonia. Kat is a lover of art in all its expressions, a passionate learner and personal development junkie.
When you get a massage from Alison, you will sense her compassion and natural intuition to find and release tension from the most problematic areas of your body. Alison's inspiration to learn massage and interest in alternative therapy began while working as a pharmacy technician in 2005. Her work then shifted to becoming a colon hydrotherapist in 2007, specializing in gastrointestinal disturbances and abdominal massage. She graduated from Mount Royal University's Massage Therapy program in 2010. She is experienced in relaxation, therapeutic, deep tissue and sports massage. Having a thirst for knowledge, Alison is also a qualified craniosacral therapist, and reiki practitioner since 2011. In addition to becoming a certified yoga teacher in 2012, she completed her Raindrop Therapy in 2013. She keeps her modalities updated by continuously researching new and effective ways for treatment in her practice and her everyday life. She takes time to listen and gives home care suggestions to prevent further injury and increase sustainability. Alison believes most injuries and ailments can be prevented by simple lifestyle changes and heightened awareness. She is committed to increasing your quality of life by encouraging you to have an active role in your health through lifestyle choices, empowerment and education.
Jessica Hosick - RMT
Jessica graduated from the Mount Royal University Massage Therapy program with 2200 hours and has been practicing for four and a half years. She became a RMT because of her love for helping and understanding people. Jessica believes massage therapy is a unique way to offer clients relief from stress or physical pain, while restoring a sense of balance. Making a connection with the client, and working with them one on one to create the best home care package for them individually is her goal in every session. Jessica's experience includes both therapeutic and relaxation massage, while specializing in deep tissue massage. She has continued her education with raindrop, hot stone and pregnancy massage. In 2018 she will be taking a 200 hour yoga instructor program to further her knowledge, and apply it into her treatments. Jessica has been drawn to yoga her whole life, but only over the past year has made it a regular practice. Through daily practice a new way of life started to emerge. She admires how through consistent stillness and movement, one can learn about their body, mind and spirt in a loving, compassionate and challenging way.
