Traditional Hot Yoga 60 And 90
the traditional hot yoga 60 minute class and 90 minute class comes from the bishnu gosh lineage of yoga. both classes consist of 2 breathing exercises and a series of 26 poses incorporating balance, strength and flexibility. a dynamic system of postures designed to be practiced in a hot room(100-105 degrees) intended to open, strengthen, and detoxify the entire body. you will sweat, stretch, get strong and be amazed at what you can do! all classes are taught by certified and experienced teachers who know how to guide practitioners at any level. these classes will compliment any athletes training program as well as the beginner. other yoga from the bishu gosh lineage include bikram yoga ,barkan method yoga, tony sanchez core 26 yoga, and yoga to the people's "fire and water sequence".
Traditional Hot Yoga 90 - Silent
enjoy this 90 minute meditative class with 2 breathing exercises and 26 poses. quiet time for yourself to unwind the body and mind. everyone is welcome but keep in mind there is no verbal instruction in this practice. we recommend attending five traditional hot yoga 60 or 90 minute classes prior to attending this class.
Traditional Hot Yoga "fire Sequence" 60
this 60 minute sequence comes to the yoga oasis from our friends at yoga to the people in new york city and is the hottest new hot yoga class in nyc! this class comes from the bishnu gosh lineage of yoga as does bikram yoga, the barkan method and tony sanchez core 26. the class includes many of the core 26 postures you know and love with the addition of 6 new postures to "intensify" your practice. the class incorporates postures that improve your balance, strength and flexibility. this dynamic system of postures is designed to be practiced in a hot room(100-105 degrees) intended to open, strengthen, and detoxify the entire body. you will sweat, stretch, get stronger.
Traditional Hot Yoga "water Sequence" 60
our newest addition to the traditional hot yoga portfolio is yoga to the people's "water" sequence. this strong 60 minute sequence includes postures from our traditional hot yoga 90 class and infuses a minimum of 6 additional postures into the sequence. this class is designed to "deepen" your practice. benefits from the new postures being introduced include; opening the tension in the hips and shoulders, strengthening the inner thigh muscles, strengthening the core body muscles, improving fluid movement in the body, the "water" sequence will be practiced in a heated room however not as hot as our other traditional hot yoga classes.
Hip And Shoulder Opening Yoga
when tension is relieved in the hips increased flexibility is experienced in the spine, shoulders, knees, and hamstrings. hip opening is very beneficial for the health of the spine, structural alignment, and for the internal release of tension. this practice will challenge you and leave you feeling grounded, relaxed and peaceful. postures to strengthen the hips and shoulders as well as stabilizing movemets are integrated thoughout the practice. especially beneficial for the sports enthusiast including runners, tennis players, weight lifters, golfers, cyclists and desk jockeys. deep relaxation completes each practice. all levels welcome. practiced in a non heated room.
this practice is designed to open and strengthen the body through energetic standing posture, balances, twists, and floor work. challenge yourself with creative movements while increasing strength, stamina, and range of movement. practiced in a heated room(95-100 degrees) hot vinyasa classes are vigorous, yet accessible, consisting of fluid transitions from pose to pose, seamlessly linking body, breath, and movement.
this bryan kest inspired class is practiced in a warm room with deep stretches on the mat that targets tight hips, tight hamstrings and tight shoulders the focus is on longer holds to release muscle tension and improve flexiblity. this is a practice that will challenge you to be quiet, sensitive, and open to what is possible in your body. perfect for runners, cyclists, triathalon training, marathon training, weight lifters and desk jockeys. this class allows for deep relaxation. all levels.
yin yoga is for improving joint mobility and increasing natural range of motion without limitation. the practice consists of floor postures held for two to five minutes exerting very little energy which allows for the safe and appropriate expansion of the joints and connective tissues(fascia) while gently stretching the major energy meridians of the body. this practice compliments the more muscular or yang forms of yoga and exercise giving the joints a rest. letting go and finding stillness in each posture is the yin experience. unplug from the constant stimulation of smartphones, computers, tv and busy details of life, let your body soften and be still. perfect for healing injuries. everyone encouranged to attend this class. practiced in a non heated room.
