Established in May of 2000, It’s Yoga was the first registered yoga school in the Tri-State Area to be certified by the National Yoga Alliance to train yoga instructors. As a result, we provide exceptional teachers and an amazing array of yoga styles that appeals to all fitness levels. Rather than just focusing on just a single form of yoga, instructor or famous personality, It's Yoga encourages all of our carefully chosen 200-500hr RYT certified instructors, to fully express their own creative and unique approach to yoga within their classes.
It’s Yoga-Cincinnati follows the classical system of ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA from the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya. Unlike many yoga systems, the scientific arrangement of postures gradually builds in difficulty to allow students to safely access their full potential. Accompanied by dynamic breathing, focus, and energy activation, students bring their full attention inward, as they flow from one posture to another creating a moving meditation. As this system builds strength, heat is created, allowing the joints and muscles to open up and release tension -balancing strength with flexibility. In the beginning these physical benefits will be what is most apparent. However, eventually, as your practice grows, you will discover yoga to be just as effective at maintaining mental/emotional equilibrium as a physical one; an invaluable tool for handling everyday stressors giving clarity and focus to your time on and off the mat.
