Applied Yoga
Ageless
The goal of this class is to increase range of motion, build strength throughout the body and improve balance. We have a long warm-up and encourage students to use a variety of props, such as blocks, blankets, bolsters and chairs to make poses safe and comfortable. This gentle class does require students to be able to get up and down from the floor. For those who have completed an introductory class or permission of the instructor
Vinyasa
We offer a beginning-level class and an all-levels class, both with Iyengar-style alignment. Vinyasa means a gradual progression or a step-by-step approach that systematically takes a student from one point and safely lands them at the next point. It is sometimes described as a breathing system, or the union of breath and movement. This class takes students through asanas in a flowing style, connecting the poses with the breath to amplify the student's awareness of the body. There will be a strong emphasis on alignment. This class provides modifications for all levels
Yoga in Chairs
This class takes place sitting in a chair or holding onto a chair or wall for balance. It is appropriate for anyone who has difficulty getting up and down from the floor. The class begins with a long, gentle warm-up seated in a chair, to lubricate and free the joints. It progresses to standing poses that use props for safety and correct alignment. The goal of this class is to retain or regain joint flexibility, build strength throughout the body and improve balance
Home Practice at the Studio
For students with Iyengar experience at Level I or above. If you are hoping to improve a problem pose, take your asana practice to the next level, develop a home practice, or just have fun with yoga, this class is for you! It's a supportive, friendly, and fun environment. On arrival, you will consult with the instructor to set practice goals and craft sequences customized to your own practice. You then work on self-directed asana practice, with the instructor available as needed. This will help you achieve the uninterrupted flow of concentration that is one of the true benefits of home practice. You can come late, leave early, or stay for the whole time. 2 hours
Pranayama
Observing the breath is a simple yet powerful way to move deeply into your own being and to feel the pulse of life. We will relax the body and explore the breath. Class members are asked to commit to a daily 10-20 minute practice between classes. For students who have taken Level 1 at least once. 1 hour

Virtual Pranayama
Pranayama is the fourth limb of yoga, the practice of deepening, lengthening, and directing breath. In this class we develop breathing awareness and practice specific methods of regulating breathing. Join us for a class that is both calming and energizing. In the 45-minute classes we recommend that you do several asanas beforehand to open your chest and hips for breathing. In these classes we will start with centering practices, followed by breath awareness, specific Pranayama practices, and guided Savasana.

Virtual Level III
