We hope you enjoy our classes. They are filled with great music: both Christian and contemporary. We encourage you to choose classes that meet your needs and not try too much too soon. Ease into your practice. The most important element of keeping a regular practice is that you choose classes that are right for you and practice at least 3 times per week for optimum results and to keep the glow of peace and health. Please do not come to class if you are ill. Get better and then come. Please do not wear perfume of any kind. Please do not eat for 2 hours before your practice. If you need something have some juice or a piece of fruit.

This intermediate level flow class is joyful, peaceful and can help you lose weight and reduce stress. It will get you calm, sweating and enjoying sun salutations with a groove. Each class introduces a variety of poses designed to build strength and stamina. This is a faster placed class to keep the heart rate moving and grooving to the tunes. This class has a fun spirit and is dedicated to creativity. Arm balances and inversions are incorporated in this class. One hour class.
Power
This one-hour power class combines breath and movement to take you to both your mental and physical edge. This is a slower placed, challenging class. Variations in poses for both intermediate and advanced students. Come to this class to find the edge you've been looking for. Poses are designed to strengthen the core, improve alignment and lessen imbalances that lead to overuse injuries. Arm balances and inversions are incorporated in this class. One hour class.

This class was designed for a person who hasn't been exercising for a long time or individuals who may have injuries or be limited physically. The biggest difference between Zumba gold and Zumba basic is that Zumba gold is done at a much lower intensity. It's just as much fun just not as fast! Zumba Gold utilizes the same great Latin styles of music and dance are used in Zumba basic program. This easy-to-follow program allows anyone any age or any sex to be able to perform the Zumba Gold dance moves. Some of the featured dances in this program are Salsa, Cha-Cha, Cumbia, Rock 'n Roll and Merengue. In addition they also use such dances as the twist, the Charleston, belly dancing, flamenco and tango. A great cardio class. Wear your tennis shoes.One hour class.
Sleep Well
Want to calm your mind, remove stress and get a great night's sleep? If so, this class is for you. No postures or stretching in this class, sheer relaxation designed to help you sleep well. 1/2 hour class.

There has been a lot of press about violence in Mexico and while sadly this is the case in some border towns, Shambala Petit Hotel hosts retreats in the quiet and Beautiful Beach of Tulum, far from these non safe areas. In fact The Today Show just voted Tulum the #1 International location to travel with children. We do recommend guests take normal travel precautions, but rest assured you will be far from the "border town" violence.

If you wish to leave a tip for the staff, The Hotel Manager will provide you with an envelope to collect the money on the last night of the retreat. We handle all of the normal tipping from dining rooms to luggage, etc. I find it easiest to collect the money before the group leave, then split the total between all the staff of the hotel that help to make happened your retreat.
