Growing up outside Philadelphia, PA, my dad loved a great cheesesteak. and while he lived his entire life near Philly, his favorite city was New York. Wogies is my way of remembering my dad by making a great Philly Cheesesteak in the greatest city in the world.
I guess you can also say that with Wogies, I’m bringing a family tradition to the West Village. My family has been making people’s stomachs happy for years. Wogie owned a couple pizza shops and my brother still runs his restaurant and hotel in PA. Learning from them, along with running a few bars here in New York, has taught me a lot about how to create a comfortable place where people can enjoy good food and drinks with friends.
