The Highlands Course and the Lakes Course were built specifically to be of equal difficulty. Both offer challenges and both are fair to golfers of all skill levels. It comes down to personal preference. The Highlands Course, which opened just a few short months before the Lakes Course, is more of a links golf experience. The danger for a golfer's errant shots lie in the high native grasses and the numerous bunkers. Rolling fairways coupled with fast greens give golfers the feeling of playing in Scotland, the home of golf. And while the course may feel like one overseas, it is unmistakable that you are in Houston. The Highlands Course offers panoramic views of the city, from the Galleria area to the Medical Center to Reliant Park to Downtown. It's breathtaking.
