Hans de Castellane was born and raised on Cape Cod, always drawing and painting, developing his passion for art at an early age. He graduated from Pratt Institute in 1999 with a BFA degree in Graphic Design and has been painting murals ever since. Hans has over one hundred murals to his credit here on the Cape, both commercial and residential. The mural in The Wild Goose Tavern was done in 2000 and is a portrait mapping out Chatham Village. Main Street and Shore road border the top while side streets wind down between the windows. It was his seventh mural commission and remains one of his favorites. Hans also designed the logo for The Wild Goose Tavern, which opened in April of 2007.
