This Bordeaux variety originated in France and is one of the major grape varieties grown worldwide. It is used a lot for blending with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also produces an excellent wine by itself. Cabernet Franc is also one of the parent varietals to the ever so popular Cabernet Sauvignon
This Bordeaux variety of grape is commonly used for blending or making its own varietal wine. This dark bleu colored variety originated in France and produces a medium body wine, with hints of berry and plum flavors
Barbera originated in Montferrat Italy and is well known for its deep color, low tannins, and high levels of acidity. This variety produces a bold wine with intense fruit flavors. When aged in a toasted oak barrel, it adds to the complexity and aging potential of the wine, while also leaving a hint of vanilla flavor
This crimson red variety is deeply saturated in color, and was developed in America. It crosses two well-known viniferas, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carignane, though some experts claim Merlot is present as well. Berries produce inky colors contributes to the deep colored wine, leaving aromas of black cherry and pepper after a few swirls. Carmine is great for blending, as it enhances color and flavor in many wines. The Phrase 'Mystery Grape' refers to the 120 grapevines that unexpectedly ripened as red grapes in our Chardonnay block. After harvesting and aging for 10 months in French Oak, the unknown variety produced an elegant and complex table wine and has quickly become our award winning, top selling wine. The variety of the grapes were later discovered to be Carmine
This green skinned grape was originated in the Burgundy wine region of Eastern France, and is known worldwide for producing elegant white wines. Chardonnay has a bit of an oak flavor to it, so some winemakers allow it to age in oak barrels, unlike most white wines
This white variety originated in the Rhine region of Germany, and produces dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines. Riesling gives off flowery aromas, and has a high acidity. Unlike Chardonnay it is rarely aged in oak during the winemaking process
The white variety of the red Barbera. White Barbera gives off an aroma of a beautiful bouquet of fruit. On the palate you will find the flavors of mild grapefruit and mild citrus. Aging in a stainless steel tank allows it mature quicker than its red variety brother
