Located on the Waterfront in Old Town, Alexandria, Vola’s Dockside Grill and the Hi-Tide Lounge will open as a relaxed and fun seafood restaurant, and a retro-cool, hideaway bar for tourists and locals alike. Named after Vola Lawson, a much-loved and iconic citizen of Old Town, Alexandria, VA, Vola’s Dockside Grill embraces the simpler times, to be a spot that feels as if it has been there forever. Vola’s is a friendly, familiar place where the food, atmosphere, service, and experience are consistently good, with the largest outdoor riverside dining patio in Old Town.
Tucked into a prominent corner at the base of Old Town’s most notable intersection, the Hi-Tide Lounge is a retro-styled intimate spot that beckons with classic cocktails and fun frozen drinks. With just 36 seats and a notable vintage vibe, the Hi-Tide is a hideaway from crowds, with comfy barstools, funky accents, vintage art, and a drink list to keep guests coming back for something new. The high tide water marker on the outside of the building carries through to the interior, to remind guests that rising tides lift all boats, and a Hi-Tide cocktail will lift one’s spirits.
