In 1993 the owners of M's Pub, Ann Mellen and Ron Samuelson, felt it was time to open another restaurant. They felt the city could benefit from an establishment that would provide outstanding contemporary Italian fare in a warm and lively atmosphere. Thus were Vivace's beginnings. The name "Vivace", which is a musical term meaning lively, was chosen in an attempt to convey the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our intent is to provide good food at reasonable prices and service that is knowledgeable, gracious and attentive. To compliment the menu, it seemed logical to offer Italian wines. So, we created a wine list unlike any other in Omaha. We now offer approximately 200 wines, with many unique varieties by the glass as well.
