The rustic elegance of the historic warehouse includes a seasonal outdoor patio, and a private Porch room with sweeping views of the Potomac River. Managed and operated by Alexandria Restaurant Partners, this iconic spot is a popular destination with locals and visitors alike, offering fantastic dining, a vibrant bar scene, and great spaces for private parties or celebrations.
The Chef has created delicious menus that celebrate upscale casual dining with seasonal flavors in dishes and recipes that that are flavorful and robust. A variety of starters, salads, entrées, and house made desserts perfect for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch. The dining rooms at Virtue Feed & Grain are welcoming and stylish, with a mix of rustic elegance and comfortable design.
Located on the Alexandria waterfront, the large building was originally a feed house in the late 1800s. In the renovation, floors, walls, tabletops, and bar shelves were constructed with reclaimed wood, heralding the unique past of the structure. Bricks removed to create large windows were reused in other areas of the restaurant, and an industrial-style sawtooth skylight traverses the vaulted ceiling on the second level.
