Keith P. Berkle, M.D. joined Virginia Women's Center in 2008
and is interested and experienced in all aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care, including routine and high-risk pregnancies, gynecologic surgery and ambulatory gynecology. He also has a special interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic hysterectomies, myomectomies and single incision laparoscopic gynecologic surgeries.
Dr. Berkle received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.
In addition, Dr. Berkle completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia, where he was honored with the Berlex Teaching Award, the Everett Wetchler, M.D. Award and the Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Berkle served as the chief resident in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Berkle grew up in Goochland and served many years as a volunteer firefighter-paramedic, which fueled his desire to go into medicine.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing the drums and playing golf with his father. He also surfs and cherishes trips to the Outer Banks with his wife and three daughters.

Lonny S. Green, M.D.
Lonny S. Green, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science in biology from Stanford University.
He earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Green completed his second year of general surgery at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. He then completed the Harvard Program in Urology, through Brigham & Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital, Children's Hospital and West Roxbury Veteran's Hospital.
Dr. Green completed postgraduate training at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where he served as senior registrar at the Alfred Hospital.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from University of St. Thomas in Minnesota. He is also an associate clinical professor with the Department of Surgery for the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.
Dr. Green has received numerous honors and scholarships.
He has authored many articles in his field of study and has presented in the U. S. and abroad. Dr. Green is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology as well as the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is active with the American Urological Association and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the International Continence Society, the Richmond Academy of Medicine, the Medical Society of Virginia, la Societe Internationale d'Urologie and the Society for Urodynamics & Female Urology.
As director of the Pelvic Health and Continence Institute at Virginia Women's Center, Dr. Green sees patients with urinary incontinence and bladder difficulties.
His interest lies in all aspects of female urology, including pelvic relaxation and urinary tract infections.
Dr. Green and his wife have six children three boys and three girls(all delivered by Virginia Women's Center obstetricians).
He enjoys skiing, physical ftness and playing jazz piano, but the vast majority of his non-work time is spent enjoying his family.

Rodrick N. Love, M.D.
Dr. Love received numerous awards and honors during his undergraduate work at Southern University in Baton Rouge
Louisiana and during medical school and his residency. Dr. Love earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Martin Luther King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Following his residency, Dr. Love completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. During his fellowship, Dr. Love performed several research studies, one of which focused on the relationship between stress and preterm labor. Another studied the differences in blood flow in the fetal brain and another collaborative study focused on the effect of serum leptin on maternal obesity.
Dr. Love joined Virginia Women's Center in 2006
and since then has enjoyed collaborating with VWC obstetricians and maternal-fetal medicine specialists to provide optimal patient care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Love uses advanced ultrasound as well as other more invasive procedures, when necessary, to improve pregnancy outcomes. Dr. Love is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology as well as maternal-fetal medicine.
Dr. Love is an avid community volunteer.
He is a Trustee at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and serves as the music director and keyboardist there. He also serves as the safety officer for Chamberlayne Little League and is an active sponsor and volunteer with Chamberlayne Little League, Football and Basketball. He and his wife, a Richmond dermatologist, have three children, Josef, Miles and Mason as well as three Jack Russell Terriers, Ike, Tina and Deuce.

Andrew W. Moore, M.D.
Andrew Moore, M.D. joined Virginia Women's Center in September of 2012.
Dr. Moore received his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk.
He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Moore has received several awards including the Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award all four years of his residency, the Best Resident Research award, and the 2012 Outstanding Resident Award for teaching and patient care.
Dr. Moore enjoys caring for patients throughout the spectrum of women's health including both low- and high- risk pregnancies.
In addition, he is skilled in caring for women who experience diabetes or hypertension in pregnancy and has special interest in pelvic pain management as well as minimally invasive and vaginal surgery for gynecologic conditions.
Having grown up in Richmond, Dr. Moore is happy to be back in his hometown.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, watching live music and sports as well as spending time with his wife, Christy, their dog, Solomon, and other family members and friends. Dr. Moore also enjoys medical missions work and has recently served in Togo, Africa and is looking forward to future mission trips.

Sara I. Sarraf, M.D.
Sara I. Sarraf, M.D. joined Virginia Women's Center in the summer of 2013.
Dr. Sarraf enjoys working with women of all ages. Offering women complete obstetric and gynecologic care throughout the various stages of their lives is what she truly loves about coming to work every day.
Dr. Sarraf earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and her master's degree from the Boston University School of Public Health.
Dr. Sarraf received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia, where she also completed her internship and residency in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. During her residency, Dr. Sarraf served as chief resident. She is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Sarraf loves working with teens and young women in their early reproductive years as she enjoys the opportunity to provide them with education, contraceptive counseling and family planning.
Long term contraceptive options have been an area of interest for her and she has published several research articles on this topic. Dr. Sarraf offers her patients a wide range of management options for abnormal and heavy uterine bleeding. She has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and is certified in the daVinciĀ® Surgical System. She has comfort in managing the changes of life that occur with menopause and thereafter.
In addition, Dr. Sarraf enjoys providing obstetrical care to women with both low- and high-risk pregnancies.
Offering a natural obstetrical approach is a particular interest of hers, however she is also comfortable in managing multi-gestation pregnancies and other high-risk pregnancies in close coordination with our maternal-fetal medicine specialists. Dr. Sarraf also has an interest in international women's health and has worked in both Honduras and Ghana. This has afforded her the ability to teach obstetric and gynecological surgical techniques to other physicians, medical students and midwives. These experiences provided her unique exposure to women's health issues prevalent in diverse ethnic and immigrant populations.
In her spare time, Dr. Sarraf enjoys yoga, distance running, hiking, traveling and cooking.
She also spends as much time as she can with her husband and her Boston Terrier, Scarlett.

Tovia Martirosian Smith, M.D.
Born and raised in Richmond, Tovia M. Smith, M.D. is excited to return to her hometown to practice medicine.
Dr. Smith is a urogynecologist who specializes in treating symptoms of incontinence and difficulties from relaxation of the pelvic floor. She joined Virginia Women's Center in March 2014.
Dr. Smith earned her bachelor's degree from Yale University, where she played varsity field hockey as an All-American for the Bulldogs.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia, where she was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society for compassion in medicine. Dr. Smith trained in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia. She then pursued a specialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, an ACGME Accredited program.
As a urogynecologist, Dr. Smith uses non-surgical approaches as well as advanced technologie
such as minimally invasive surgery and the daVinciĀ® Surgical System, to reconstruct the pelvic floor for women who suffer from pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence and fecal incontinence. In addition, she is skilled in repairing fistulas and complications from third and fourth degree tears following vaginal childbirth.
Many women do not discuss these sensitive but treatable symptoms with their doctors or loved ones.
Dr. Smith is as passionate about giving women time and space to discuss their symptoms as she is educating women on their conditions and treatment options. With all treatments, she aims to help women of any age regain an improved quality of life.
In her spare time, Dr. Smith and her husband, also a physician and a fellow Bulldog but of the Georgia variety
enjoy spending all the time they can with their two young children and traveling to keep up with family and friends.

Rebecca J. Woo, M.D.
Rebecca J. Woo, M.D. joined Virginia Women's Center in the fall of 2012.
Dr. Woo received her Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her Master of Science degree from the University of Georgia.
She continued her education at the Medical College of Georgia, where she received her medical degree. Dr. Woo completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
After completing residency in 2007, Dr. Woo lived in Europe for two years.
She worked as a civilian contractor at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany, the largest U.S. military medical facility in Europe. There, she had the opportunity to care for active duty military and their dependents in service of the U.S. armed forces as well as experience life in Europe. In 2010, Dr. Woo and her family returned to the United States and relocated to Richmond. Prior to joining Virginia Women's Center, Dr. Woo was a physician with Richmond OB-GYN. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
When she's not practicing medicine
Dr. Woo enjoys spending all the time she can with her husband, three children and their Boston Terrier, Penny. Dr. Woo enjoys yoga, traveling and cooking. She is always up for an adventure, whether it means trying a new restaurant or visiting a new country!

Peter A. Zedler, M.D.
Having practiced general obstetrics and gynecology since 1984, Dr. Zedler directed his practice toward gynecology and gynecologic surgery in 1999.
He is particularly interested in the challenges for women associated with menopause and osteoporosis. Dr. Zedler is certified as a menopausal clinician by the North American Menopause Society. He is also certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry.
Under Dr. Zedler's direction, Virginia Women's Center has had an active research program since 2002.
Areas of research include contraception, hormone replacement, osteoporosis and cervical dysplasia. The program continues to actively recruit patients as new studies are launched.
Dr. Zedler is married with three children.
He and his family enjoy travel, especially when it involves camping, backpacking and fishing. Dr. Zedler is a history buff and likes to read historical nonfiction, as well as take in programs that chronicle events in history.
