Vic Zito and Ash Rutledge met in the army during WWII and became friends. After the war was over they decided they wanted to open a ice cream parlor. So they opened Vic’s Ice Cream on half the land they bought and the other half they rented out to a person who opened a drug store. The business started with to employees in a shared ownership. Later on in 1950 Ash had a son who was named Craig. Sixteen years later in 1966 Vic died. Just after Vic’s death Craig started working out front after the cleaning windows there for five years. Thirty one years later in 1997 Craig Partnered with his dad Ash owning the business. And today they still both own it.
