USA Subs was founded in 1986 by Karl Kuceris, a businessman and visionary entrepreneur with a talent for creating delicious sandwich and salad ideas.
At age 16, Karl began working his way up the corporate ladder of a very successful supermarket company in New Hampshire. Eventually, he became the meat and deli buyer, as well as the merchandiser for the company. He also conducted food handling and sanitation seminars to other well-known supermarket chains in the region. Armed with knowledge, experience and entrepreneurial drive, Karl decided to go into business for himself, opening up a deli in Boston
