Up-Stage is the premier home staging business in greater Boston.
Its founder, Heidi Pribell, is an award-winning interior designer.
Up-Stage differs from other home staging companies. How?
By using furnishings - from a collection built over 25 years – that appeals to high net worth buyers familiar with current trends in home design. And creating bespoke, photo-ready environments for marketing.
Our goal is to add value for sellers by enabling buyers to envision quality and comfort from marketing photos and during the all-important first visit to a home.
Services
Deciding how to present your home upon its sale is among the most important issues faced by sellers of residential real estate. In today's competitive market, how does a seller differentiate a property from the competition? What must be done to attract the attention of – and ultimately an offer from – its target buyer? An increasing number of sellers in high-cost real estate markets from coast-to-coast recognize the benefits of home staging:
More offers
Quicker sales
Higher prices
Staging a home for sale typically involves four steps
We schedule an on-site meeting to become familiar with the style and scale of the property to analyze how best to stage the listing.
We determine the amount of furnishings needed after receiving a floor plan.
This is followed by a proposal to the seller that provides pricing for the rental of furnishings (two-month minimum) and cost of services, including design, packing, moving, installation and removal of furnishings.
Once an agreement is signed and a 50% deposit is received, the design and decision-making process begins.
Upon advance notice (minimum of one week), home staging begins and is completed in up to three days.

Heidi Pribell
In 1996, Heidi Pribell founded Heidi Pribell Interiors, a distinctive design studio (based in Cambridge) which creates evocative, inspired environments for a discerning clientele.
Pribell puts a fresh modern twist on classic design, which gives her unique interiors a young, elegant and sophisticated appeal.
After graduating from Harvard University and attending the New York School of Interior Design, Ms. Pribell was a dealer in fine antiques.
She sold objects to venerable institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Los Angeles County Museum and the Chicago Art Institute. Ms. Pribell continues to acquire exceptional pieces, many of which can be found in the homes of her clients. Her design work received "Best of Boston" awards in 2008, 2009 and 2010 (as chosen by Boston Home magazine) and has been widely published, including most recently in The Boston Globe Magazine.
In 2011, Ms. Pribell acquired the assets of a Cambridge-based residential real estate staging business and launched Up-Stage.
In 2013, she moved the business to a modern 6,000-square-foot warehouse and showroom in Waltham.
Design Philosophy
"Each commission I complete is unique. I interpret my client's ideas and help them define their own style. My understanding of fine design and decoration enables clients to make sound decisions about their investment. My work blends a modern contemporary aesthetic with a passion for the colors, textures and patterns found in the natural world. My goal is to provide clients with deeply satisfying, personalized living spaces of exceptional quality and comfort."
Home Staging Philosophy
"Mine is a bespoke approach to residential real estate staging that differs from most others, primarily because I use furniture and furnishings that appeal to high net worth buyers familiar with current trends in home design. From a collection that I've been building for more than 25 years, first as an antiques dealer and more recently as an interior designer and avid collector. My goal is to add value for sellers by enabling buyers to envision quality and comfort."
