Due to the Covid-19
Due to The Covid-19 Pandemic We Are Closed by Executive Order. Phase 2 of NC reopening begins Friday, May 22nd at 5 pm. Untangled Salon will reopen Saturday morning, May 23rd, we will contact you to reschedule your appointments. If you haven´t heard from us by end of day, Monday, the 25th, please don´t panic, WE WILL CONTACT YOU. You can also click on the link above and request the date and time that works for you so we have some type of guideline to work from. As we reopen there will be additional safety guidelines in place to protect our clients and your families, our employees, and our community. 1. Each Untangled Salon team member will wear a mask; we ask that you do as well. 2. Each team member will have their temperature taken on a daily basis before their shift with a no touch thermometer. 3. Payment and scheduling will be conducted with as little contact as possible. 4. Hair Coloring
Virgin Application
A virgin application is when the desired hair color is one or more levels lighter or darker than your natural hair color. This service requires a total saturation of all the hair in one process. Sometimes it takes a little bit more to get that full coverage look. This is where we would mix up a little extra color for you to help ensure full coverage for the best look.

Corrective Color
Each case for corrective color is different and unique. A full evaluation of your starting point to where you would like to be after the service will discussed with you during a consultation. Your look is important to us as is the health and integrity of your hair. A thorough consultation is done before an corrective work can be performed. Color Toner
After every lightening service we highly recommend a toner. Everyone lifts warm. Everyone. A toner is used to neutralized unwanted yellow or brassy tones after lifting; it also seals the hair cuticle shut. Our toners contain conditioning and repairing botanicals that will not only adjust unwanted tones, and seal the cuticle for longer lasting results, but also conditions and heals with our four pharmaceutical grade botanicals: argan oil, rice protein, aloe vera, and calendula extract.

Balayage
Balayage is a hair color technique designed to create very natural-looking highlights that grow out without developing an obvious root. Many stars and models use this process on their hair. This method of coloring emerged in Paris in the 1970's; the name is French for "to sweep," a reference to the way in which the color is applied. After it was exported to the United States, balayage became extremely popular in the late 1990's. In the United States, the word is sometimes spelled "balliage." When hair is colored with the balayage process, the highlights are painted on by hand in a sweeping motion the moves from the base to the tip of the hair. At the base, the color is applied very lightly, while at the tip the color is very heavy. The result is a chunky highlight that looks naturally sun-bleached. As the hair grows out the root will be concealed for the first few months by the thinner color applied to the base of the hair. Our partial foils include approximately 30 foils. The placement can be anywhere from the nape to the forehead. Talk to our colorists about it. Regular Perm Wrap - Short Hair
In a standard perm the hair is wrapped around perm rods so that the hair layers over itself until you have wound the entire segment of hair on the rod.
