Competitive cheer for the dedicated athlete who wants to compete! They meet twice a week for 1.5 hours plus 1 hour of tumbling. If your child is devoted to cheer, then a competitive team is for them. The following are United All Stars teams for the 2016-2017 season: (tryouts are required to be placed on a competitive team)
Ice
Ice is our Small Coed Senior Level 3 Team. Practice Sunday from 4:30 – 6 p.m. and Thursday from 5:30 – 7 p.m.
Lady Lightning
Small Senior Level 1 Team. Practice Monday 7 - 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 7:30 - 9 p.m.
Avalanche
Small Junior 3 Team. Practice Sunday 6 - 7:30 p.m. and Thursday from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Fire
Youth Level 2 Team. Practice Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 - 6 p.m.
Flurry
Small Mini Level 1 Team. Practice Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:30 - 6 p.m.
Tiny Tornados
Tiny Level 1 Team. Practice Tuesday and Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.

Affordable uniform
Cyclones practice Monday and Wednesday 4:30 - 5:30 PM.

Rec Cheer
If events are available to perform at The rec teams, Frost and Flame, will practice Mondays from 5:30-6:30 pm
Recreational cheer is for the student who is interested in learning fundamentals of cheerleading including
stunting, tumbling, dancing, motions, and jumping all incorporated into one routine. There is no prior experience needed and tryouts are not required. They will perform at local events* and at the end of the year showcase. Recreational teams meet once a week for a one hour practice.
Tumbling
Tumbling classes are for any student who wants to learn the basic skills of tumbling. Tumbling classes meet once a week to work on their skills in their designated level/time. There is no uniform required; only non-street shoes worn at time of practice. Class time will be determined per age/level of tumbling skill of the child. New This Year - we have added a Monday night class from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

UAS Dance
Dance Class Descriptions. What is your Child's Style?
Beginner Tap and Ballet
Tap and Ballet will be offered to our little ones which will be introducing dance to them. Our little dancers will focus on body control, rhythm, and flexibility. Students will learn to listen and focus on body movement and control. They will begin to learn dance terminology, their choreography and beginning tap and ballet all in a structured environment. They must be able to attend this class without a parent/guardian. This class will practice for 45 minutes once a week.
Jazz
Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality. This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.
Lyrical
Lyrical is a fusion of ballet and jazz, with expressive motions that tell a story. Students will learn lyrical technique along with how to express emotion through movement.
Modern/contemporary
These routines implement the principles of fall and recovery, contraction and release, weight sharing and innovative manipulation of the body to express inner feelings as related to the musical or narrative piece.
Prop
Prop dance classes will emphasize the use of props or a variety of props. The manipulation of the prop must be the main focal point of the routine.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop routines incorporate street style movements with an emphasis on execution, style, creativity, body isolations and control, rhythm, uniformity and musical interpretation.
Variety
Variety routines will incorporate a blend of jazz, pom, and hip hop styles.
Pom
Pom style will be incorporated in our variety routines; however poms may or may not be used depending on the routine. A pom routine clean/precise and sharp motions, visual effect and tricks (i.e. leaps, turns, pom passes and kick lines).
Summer Camps
Every year United All Stars offer various camps especially their United Spirit Camp which is for high school and Jr. High teams.
High teams. They spend three days staying at the beautiful Iowa Central Community College dorms and then spend three fun filled days learning stunts, cheers, dances and jumps with the United Coaches and Iowa Central Coaches. United also does private camps for any teams including high school and junior high. Contact the United office for more details.
Birthday Parties
Has your child ever wanted to tumble or have a Nerf gun war but you don't know where to go?
What about a cheer party with their friends and on their birthday?! We have the perfect place for you! They can have their birthday party at the United gym, You can open your gifts, have food and go back to having fun!
Do you want to have an awesome birthday party?
Have your birthday party at United All Stars with all of your friends! What does a United All Stars birthday include? Cost for a party is $175.00 + tax (includes use of banquet room, 10 participating children, and 1 UAS Staff Member)
3 hours for refreshments
activities with the United All Stars staff, and a mini performance at the end (if requested by the host)
The activities can be geared towards cheerleading, dance, or tumbling!
We have special birthday parties for boys that include Nerf guns & darts, tag football, and tumbling!
If there are 11-20 participating children
$200.00
Due to needing an extra UAS Staff Member. If 21-30 participating children the cost is $250

The host will provide the birthday cake
plates, napkins, forks, etc unless otherwise arranged through the UAS Staf
Special foods are acceptable
(cake, ice cream). Please arrange with the UAS Staff what you are planning for
UAS is NOT responsible for accidents/damages.
Any/all damages to the UAS building will require reimbursement for replacement
Only the host parents are allowed in gym during the party.
Parents/family of children participating are invited to see guests perform when they pick up children!
All participants require a signed medical release / liability waiver

with a UAS Staff Member and make your $25 nonrefundable deposit to hold your date! (Then the remainder is due the day of the party.)
Fill out the party form and return to the UAS office, or mail to

Print out the medical release / liability waiver off our website and have all guests and parents sign.
Bring these with you the day of the party! (Guests cannot participate without a signed waiver!)
