The valley of Itria is located in Southern Italy in the province of Apulia. Valle d’Itria is splendid indeed because of its breathtaking views. The valley is comprised of beautiful vineyards and olive groves, and is covered with peculiar looking structures called the trullo. Most of these homes are relatively small, beehive-shaped, whitewashed, mortarless structures made of stone. Socially and culturally the natives of the region tend to be more simplistic and modest than the other parts of Italy. It is easy to understand why people all over the world still revel in how Puglia’s old world charm still exists in this richly filled area of untouched tradition and endless beauty.
