Welcome to historic Tofanelli's Gold Country Bistro, Nevada County's popular destination for breakfast, lunch, dinner...or simply enjoying our full bar with a great choice of the best local and California wines, delicious appetizers and fresh air in the charming outdoor patio.
A vital part of Grass Valley since 1859, Tofanelli's iconic building is at 302 W. Main Street, next door to the thriving Center for the Arts.
Tofanelli's is now under the ownership of a third-generation restaurant family that has opened 15 very successful restaurants in California, Oregon and Nevada. Most famous are the Golden Egg Omelet Houses, with an incredible array of 101 omelets that have been featured on television and copied internationally.
In 2006, the Golden Egg Omelet House and Grant Avenue Bar and Grill in Novato, CA. were voted Best Breakfast in Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties by the prestigious North Bay Business Journal.
Tofanelli's introduced that award-winning breakfast menu in 2006 and its popularity has grown rapidly in the Gold Country foothills.
But Tofanelli's goes well beyond even the award-winning breakfast. Lunches feature a list of sensational salads, a full page of hamburgers and much more. Dinners at Tofanelli's are both casual and elegant.
All desserts are created in-house by Chef William, a fixture at Tofanelli's for more than a decade. His featured dessert is the sinfully rich "Kathrine's Chocolate layer cake." You might also try Chef William's marvelous and varied Creme Brulee creations or his Cherry Almond Cobbler.
Of course, Tofanelli's wine list is extensive and always evolving.
So please join us at any time of the day, from dawn through dinner. Visit our historic building, relax in the marvelous patio. And enjoy.
