Tick Tock Diner, an iconic symbol of the American diner with locations in both Clifton, New Jersey and Midtown Manhattan, has mastered the art of casual dining, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps them coming back year after year. For over 60 years, the Clifton diner’s famous neon sign with its clock and “Eat Heavy” slogan has been well known to New Jerseyites. The landmark diner first opened on Route 3 in 1948 and, over the years, has expanded from a small building to its present size of more than 350 seats. The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. There, the décor evokes the spirit of the original outlet with plenty of chrome and comfy banquette seating.
