At the therapist's discretion, other clinical modalities may also require a longer intake appointment. Please enquire when making your appointment. Some clinical modalities may require longer intake appointments, for example:
Initial Craniosacral Therapy, 90 minutes
Initial Trager®, 90 minutes
Initial Acupuncture, 90-120 minutes
Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you we must charge for appointments missed, cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice.
Any appointments cancelled the day of the appointment due to snow and ice will not be charged in accordance with our 24 hour cancellation policy. In addition we ask our clients for their understanding if a therapist is not able to make it to their appointments because of bad weather. We do ask that you wait to cancel your appointments until the day of the appointment in the event that the weather does not present as expected.
We do not accept third party payments and are not affiliated with any provider group.
Our experience has been that, when recommended by a physician, massage therapy is occasionally covered by health insurance plans.
Our services are usually an allowed expense for medical savings accounts and flexible spending accounts.
We can provide a receipt indicating treatment codes and a diagnosis code if supplied by your physician.
If you call your insurance company to inquire about coverage please be clear that you are receiving massage therapy services, not physical therapy.
At The Teal Center, we specialize in clinical massage therapy, bodywork and acupuncture to relieve pain, reduce stress, improve performance, and enhance your overall health. We believe the body-mind holds the possibility of healing itself when properly supported. Our goal is to facilitate each individual’s innate healing ability. In order to accomplish this goal, we listen and observe carefully, respond with appropriately designed treatment, and educate our clients about self-care strategies.
