Achieving the Dream - 90MPH
This magic number in baseball should be every players dream - to throw a baseball 90 mph. This program is being implemented by the Houston Astros minor league which will work on increasing your throwing velocity, improve explosiveness and to learn "power" mechanics. For serious players only.
Ballistic Hitting Group Lessons
Take your game to the next level in this lesson designed by Coach Tim Nolan, professional batting instructor and associate scout for the Philadelphia Phillies. Improve your bat speed, core strength, eye hand coordination, and reaction time to the ball. This is what will take you to the next level.
Breaking Ball Clinic
Learn more than 10 ways to throw an off speed pitch. Get a feel for getting hitters out and develop strong off speed pitches in just one class or become a breaking ball aficianado by completing all four.
Coaching Education Clinic
This clinic is an absolute must for any youth coach! SZ Instructors and Metro-Area Coaches lead you through an informative 4 hour session design to help any coach at any level operate more efficiently.
College Baseball Clinics
Periodically, colleges from around the area come into the Strike Zone and offer a two hour clinic using the same drills they use in their own program. Coaches address the mental aspects of the game and what it takes to succeed at the college level.
Developmental Team
Got cut from your team? It happens, BUT it does not have to be the end to your baseball career. We have created a developmental program to allow passionate players the opportunity to prepare themselves for the summer season.
Father/Son Clinic
A clinic for Players 5 to 12 years old and their Dads! Drills, Tips and handouts to work with your sons will be provided. (Moms & Grandparents are welcome too!)
Holiday Camp
Looking for a way to spend your Winter Break? This is full day camp which covers fundamental instruction in hitting, pitching, catching,infield and outfield. Lunch is included with this camp and each player enjoys a gift bag to take home!
Lefty's Club
If you are a left handed player, you are in good company. Join the lefty's club! Register your name with us and we will contact you when we are hosting special events for left handed players.
Live Situational Hitting
Live Pitching to Hitters! Work on hitting curve balls, sliders, and change ups! Work on two strike hitting and hitting with runners on base. Experienced BP pitchers throwing strikes with real baseballs! This will help your timing! One hour sessions-Limited to only eight players per time slot-Must reserve your spot. Offered Every Week!
Mack's Mites Clinic
The fundamental skills of baseball are what build a foundation of success! Join Coach McKay as he covers hitting, throwing, baserunning, pitching, and defense. For players age 5-7, 7-9 and 10-12 years old.
Preparing for High School Baseball
This class focuses on the fundamental skills necessary to play at the High School level. This course will be comprehensive, covering hitting, pitching, infield and outfield play and mental preparation. An absolute must for 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade players.
Saturday Night Instructional Camp Strength/Speed & Agility
These camps are great for learning the fundamental skills involved in hitting, infield/outfield play, and baserunning. These clinics will run on Saturday nights. Players will be grouped by ages.
Strength / Speed & Agility
Slow is slow...no matter what the sport is. The Strike Zone would like to invite you to get a head start on your upcoming baseball season. We are offering an 18 session Speed and Agility Series. These classes are designed for baseball and softball players only and will highly intense.
April Spring Training
These camp covers the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, baserunning, and pitching. It is the perfect opportunity for you to fine-tune your skills before the season starts. Choose between our One Day Outdoor Camp or One Day Indoor Camp. OR Choose BOTH!!
Summer Camps
During the month of June, we hit the road to conduct our famous original outdoor summer camps at various ball fields around the area. Our camp is the only camp divided into three stages that is tailored for your player's level of playing and has all they need to enjoy the game of baseball.

Velocity Development Program
The principle to building baseball velocity is the understanding that throwing is a ballistic action. Throwing involves rapid, explosive movements, requiring specific types of training. This will be a high intensity workout, focused solely on improving your velocity and strength.
Exposure Combine
In conjunction with the Omaha Royals and Going Vertical the Strike Zone offers High School Jr and Sr players, varsity, legion, college and pro players an opportunity to get noticed by Midwest's Professional Area Scouts and College Coaches. This year's Exposure Camp will be held at Rosenblatt Stadium.
Strike Zone Leagues
Here is a brief synopsis of our upcoming leagues. Be sure and sign up early as space is limited. For more information on these leagues, please click on the links on the left. Baseball and Softball Cage League
Age groups: 10 U - Boys, 12 U - Boys, Girls Fast Pitch. For Baseball or Softball players. This league runs for four weeks. Players accumulate points by hitting designated areas throughout the cage and by performing situational hitting successfully (bunts, hit and runs, opposite field hitting, etc.). There are two players per team.
Tunnel Line Drive League
Age groups: 13/14-Boys, 15 - U Boys. A four week competition between teams consisting of 2 players. Players will hit off a SZ Staff personnel who will be throwing live batting practice in our tunnels. Points are earned by hitting marked point targets on the tunnel level.
Fall Mack's Mites League
Age groups: 5 - 7 year olds. This league accommodates those very young aspirants (5-6 year olds) who want to get an early start in developing proper baseball skills. Playing actual games will allow an actual and realistic hands on learning experience for the young players.
Fall Instructional League
Age groups: 7 - 9 year olds, 10 - 12 year olds. The goal of fall ball is to allow players to learn other positions, get more experience at their current position, and improve their basic fundamentals.
Fall Competitive League
Age groups: 9 - 10 year olds, 11 - 12 year olds, 13 - 14 year olds, 15 - 16 year olds. This league is the next step in the development process which offers players a chance to improve upon their skills in a competitive environment.
Fall Wood Bat League
Age groups: 16 - Up. The Wood Bat League is to give the High School Player and select team player an opportunity to continue their competitive season against the best competition around.
Elite Team
Age groups: High School Jrs/Srs. The Best of the Best. This is a tryout league which provides players with first hand exposure to area college teams, and the experience of playing at a higher level. Participating on this team will demonstrate what it takes to play at the college level.
Upper Deck League
Age groups: College Players. Made up of college players wanting to prolong their season, this league gives these players a chance to keep on playing. Most college coaches find this league a dream come true so that their players come back to fall back stronger than ever.
Spring Development
Strike Zone coaches have developed a four step program for becoming a more successful baseball player. High School coaches are looking for players that excel in more than just one aspect, and that's why Strike Zone coaches will be working hand in hand with your players to develop their game. In our Spring Developmental Program, players will meet 3-4 nights a week and develop all aspects of their game. Work on Defensive Work, Bullpen Work/Fielding, Speed, Strength, and Agility as well as Hitting.
