Beverly Morton Billand and Chuck Billand started Patowmack Farm in 1986, growing fresh herbs and specialty vegetables. Pronounced PAT-O-MACK, the farm is named after George Washington's trading company and the American Indians located in the area. Patowmack Farm sits high on a hill overlooking the Potomac River, one of the most spectacular views in all of the Loudoun Valleys. From the beginning, we have continued to farm the land using sustainable farming methods without chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Early on, value-added products were added to spread beyond the seasonal market. Production increased by adding perennial crops such as asparagus, rhubarb, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries. Constantly learning and adapting to keep the dining experience and farm attractive to our guests, is a welcomed challenge. The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm's goal is to create an experience that will leave a lasting impression. We invite our guests to come early, enjoy the stunning view and stay late to enjoy the rising moon and stars. Year-round dining affords the opportunity for diners to experience seasonal dining.
