This treatment is useful to soothe and sedate the nervous system while encouraging increased circulation of blood, lymph, and energy. Though gentle in its approach, this massage can also be deep to address muscular aches and pains, as well as the removal of lactic acid from the muscle tissues.
Neuro-muscular Massage
This treatment is efficient when focusing on specific areas of chronic pain due to nerve impingement and/or spasm within soft tissue.
Myofascial Release
This treatment can only be done without oil/lotion which allows for the release of myofascial restrictions, literally untouched by traditional massage. It is the major component of structural therapy, which is most useful in chronic pain.
Postural Assessment
This is the first step in addressing chronic pain with structural therapy. The patient is asked to be viewed in underwear or bathing suit while standing. Postural distortions are revealed as patient is viewed from front, back, and each side.
Structural Therapy
This approach will address postural distortions from past injury and trauma as well as distortions created by emotional holding patterns. Neuromuscular massage, myotherapy, and myofascial release are integrated into a system to restore balance, improve range of motion, and reduce chronic pain.
Breathing Re-education
This session includes patient education to fully understand diaphragmatic breathing and the effects of impaired breathing on chronic pain and tension. Any restrictions in the muscles and fascial network causing inhibition of a full breath are addressed with myofascial release.
Heart Rhythm Biofeedback
Using biofeedback on a computer monitor and a finger cuff, patients are able to witness their heart rhythm when under stress and are taught how to transform it to a coherent rhythm using a simple meditation.
Energy Balancing
This is a hands-on therapy that encourages the flow of energy to be evenly distributed throughout the body and energy field. It is very useful for reducing stress, balancing the emotions and encouraging a sense of well-being.
Spiritual Healing
This is an interactive approach to explore the deeper sources of pain, stress, and discomfort in the body. Through guided meditation and various other healing modalities, patients discover the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical body and learn how to transform areas of discomfort through enhanced awareness.
Meditation Classes
Discover meditation techniques from mystical traditions as you cultivate inner awareness and transformation.
