The legendary Palace Restaurant and Saloon reopened under new ownership in September of 2011. The welcoming decor, where traditional Victorian style merges with the Spanish Colonial aesthetic of New Mexico in the wild west of the 1850's, has been restored with a nod to the original proprietress.
The red, flocked velvet wallpaper recalls the era of La Dona Tulles, the legendary gambler, saloon owner and madam who worked her influence over the governor and the archbishop from a location just behind where the current building stands.
The food is New American with an emphasis on farm to table and a nod to Northern New Mexican seasoning. Whenever possible, we use locally grown and organic foods. The dinner menu is served until 10:00 pm, and a reduced, late-night menu is served until 1:00 am.
