All classes marked with an asterisk (*) require sign-up in person at the front desk on the day of the class.
Attire
To ensure an effective workout, all members are asked to wear proper workout attire and sneakers. Please, no jeans, boots or sandals during class participation. Spin shoes are not allowed anywhere in the facility other than the Spin Room. Also, please refrain from walking around the facility bare foot. In addition, cell phones, gym bags and coats are allowed in the locker room, lobby and juice bar area only! Please be courteous! Please be certain to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to all classes in order to have proper set-up. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your spot, as it may be given to the next person on the sign-up sheet. We appreciate your support in helping us make your experience at THE GYM a truly unique and pleasurable one.

The ultimate Spin experience, only at THE GYM. Spin yourself through a NYC nightclub or through the hills of Malibu - wherever the ride shalL take you. Instructor MAY use visuals during this 55-minute class.

Class Descriptions
At THE GYM, we've developed a schedule that enhances the mind-body connection. Our Eastern philosophy program consists of Yoga, Pilates, and various Stretch classes. Our instructors are highly trained professionals in their specific discipline. Our unique 'Soft Studio' consists of bamboo wood flooring and a domed ceiling that helps to create a more perfect environment for your progress. Your experience will be enhanced when exercising in the appropriate temperature and when using the proper equipment specific to each class. Yoga mats, Yoga blocks, Pilates rings, straps and blankets are all available.
Yoga
All Yoga is Hatha Yoga; however, many different styles have emerged. The Yoga program at The Gym is designed to offer our members a variety of yoga styles. The class description below should assist members in choosing various classes. Every instructor is unique and is influenced by a blend of several yoga disciplines. We encourage participants to experience all classes and instructors.
Barrelates
This class will begin with a cardio warm-up then work the elements of mat Pilates and Barre for a full body workout using props: light hand weights, Pilates balls, fitness circles and dynabands.
Barre Blend
Modeled after the Lotte Berk Method this class fuses core conditioning with disciplines of Pilates and yoga to produce lean and flexible muscles using 2-3 lb dumbbells and a Ballet Barre. Integrate muscle shaping techniques of: isometrics, the elongating principles of dance conditioning /stretching, and the science of physical therapy to create a workout that quickly and safely reshapes your entire body.
Barre Bootcamp
Taking the fundamentals of a traditional Barre class and adding some cardio to elevate your heart rate and your workout.
Power Barre
Taking the fundamentals of a traditional Barre class and adding some cardio to elevate your heart rate and your workout.
Barre Amped
Combine principles of dance, ballet, pilates and yoga for a high cardio intense barre workout; incorporates light weights to bring the burn during all the those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work.
Vinyasa Flow
Poses are linked together in a flow-like style to build heat in the body naturally from the inside out. Emphasis is placed on flexibility, strength and coordination.
Pilates w Stretch
Tradional Pilates class with added stretch which will help increase your range of motion and flexibility.
Vinyasa Yoga
A vigorous vinyasa yoga class meant to physically and mentally challenges you. This practice can increase strength, endurance and ability to focus on any task for a long period of time with out breaking your concentration.
Dancer Body Workout
Modern dance based movements in which muscles are toned through stretching, lengthening and strengthening using light weights.
Vinyasa Amped
he traditional vinyasa series and incorporates a dynamic more rapid flow that detoxifies, heals and rejuvenates the body. Often referred to as "meditation in motion", this open level power vinyasa class cultivates strength, endurance, focus, balance, and flexibility.
Pilates w Props
will focus on gaining strength & flexibility through the use of Pilates' Props along with light weights. We will emphasize the core connection of the body in order to gain mobility through stability and challenge our entire body.
Barre Intensity
A full body workout that incorporates Barre exercises. Focusing on core strength and building long lean muscles using body weight resistance, resistance bands, light weights, and high repetitions. Leave feeling taller, stronger and leaner.
Pilates
Can be a very effective method in helping to improve core strength, balance, flexibility and posture. Like Yoga, there are many unique training styles. Our Pilates program offers a wide range of instructors and allows you to choose a style most appropriate for your lifestyle.
