Scotch
Scottish whisky is aged in oak casks for at least three years. Any age statement on a bottle of Scotch whisky, expressed in numerical form, must reflect the age of the youngest whisky used to produce that product. Depending on the region, the Scotch may have different flavors - those from Islay, pronounced "eye-la", for example, tend to have a smoky, peaty flavor. While those from Speyside, like Macallan, are known for their smooth caramle flavors. Below are 4 Regions of Scotland and we are excited to share the experience of our budding collection
Speyside
A whisky-producing region covering approximately 100 miles is world famous for its salmon fishing as well as whiskey. The region is home to more than half of Scotland's distil eries, Speyside's whiskies have earned a reputation as some of the finest in the world

Blended Scotch whiskey constitutes about 90% of the whiskey produced in Scotland. Blended Scotch whiskies contain both malt whiskey and grain whiskey. They were initially created as an alternative to single malt whiskies, which some considered too harsh. Producers combine the various malts and grain whiskies to produce a consistent brand style
