When Allan Anderson opened his Drive In on July 5, 1956, James Dean was starring in the 50's classic "Rebel Without a Cause" at the St. Croix Auditorium Theatre. A Drive-Inn restaurant was a new concept and the idea was intriguing for the Anderson's, who were intent on making it a "family business".
