Established in the mid 1700's, today's Historic Cranbury Inn Restaurant continues to function for its original purpose of offering food and drink to people from all over the world. You enjoy your dining experience from our various menus, complimented by our extensive wine list and full service bar, in a warm friendly atmosphere with attentive service from our wait staff.
The Cranbury Inn physically consists of two 1700's stagecoach taverns built together in 1800 by the innkeeper's house with a 1930 main dining room addition. In 2005 a 200+ seat timber frame banquet hall was built to replace the big barn that was destroyed by fire in 1902.
Entering The Cranbury Inn you come into the colonial innkeeper's living room, which is now our lobby. Walking to your left you enter the pine paneled Main Dining Room which boastfully displays eight large windows and is surrounded by a plate rail that is home to an eclectic collection of plates. Authentic colonial firearms are displayed around the room intermingled with antique clocks and old lithographs as well as recently done oils and watercolors. The room furnishings include some antique dining room tables used for the wedding receptions of many couples that have returned to celebrate their 50th, 65th, & 75th anniversaries at the same tables in the same room five to seven decades later.
