"The only thing constant at The Cottage is change."
We opened in 1974 as "Dawson's Country Cottage" and were located in the Carr Building in Olde Severna Park.
We moved to our present location in Park Plaza in 1986. As trends have changed, so have we.
We've traveled the country to bring you the best selection of exclusive gifts and accessories.
From classic gifts to modern twists, we have a wide range of items for friends, family, colleagues and yourself. From elementary school through college, moms to grandmoms, we will soon become your favorite store. From special orders to free gift wrapping, from tastings to email specials, we are here to make your shopping experience memorable, easy and most of all, fun!

Giving Back
The Cottage is committed to raising awareness and making a difference in the lives of those around us. We proudly support a variety of charities and local community organizations by making direct donations and by carrying specific products whose manufactures make a donation based on product sales. This Season The Cottage will focus on Giving Back to Three Foundations Close to our Hearts: Multiple Sclerosis, The Samaritan Women & Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
We believe in taking care of our customers and supporting their local causes.
The Cottage donates to local public and private schools throughout the Anne Arundel County Sector as well as to local churches and children's charities.
If you are part of a local organization raising money for a good cause let us know.
We are now accepting donation requests. Please email or drop off your request for consideration. All requests should be on organization's letterhead, include event name and details, contact info and organizations tax-id number. We typically take 2-4 weeks to process donation requests.
