After the coffee is picked, washing is done by the farmers on their farms. Then, the coffee is 100% sundried.

The cool temperate Cloud Forest allows the coffee to ripen slowly, developing flavors that exhibit a bright, crisp liveliness with a clean, sweet, and mild cup. Hints of citrus are in the finish.

The goal of the original partnership was to pay farmers a price for their coffee that would allow them to keep growing premium coffee and thrive in a dynamically growing area. Through the Dollar Back program, extra money has gone to fund projects unique to the Monteverde area.
